Well we had the full house, we have had a long break , we had fresh players coming back and what did we produce. 94 minutes of garbage, we were that bad we made the worst Liverpool team I can remeber look half decent. After a quiet bright first 15 mins we were never in it . Bardsley and Mensah were the poorest I have ever seen them, Henderson was again missing ( 20 million , come on) can anyone remeber the last time he has a half decent game. Very disappointed in Sess and Gyan , we created nothing and got everything we deserved. Thank god we had a decent first 5 month to the season because we are struggling big time, can't win can't score. The officals were very poor but lets not hide behind this , we were garbage.

Injuries to Muntari and Richardson did not help.

Henderson played well in the 1st half, and the entire team went missing in the second.

I dont like using ref decisions as an excuse; but i would like to watch a (at least 1) sunderland game where the result isnt influenced by crap decisions and injuries before the end of the season.

Both teams were poor in the 2nd half, 0-0 would have been a more realistic score line (boring result for a boring game)

We did not play badly for the entire game, we played well up until the pen and then we played terribly after the penalty. Henderson was poor again, he is so predictable, everytime he gets the ball in the middle it's a sideways ball to the full back

Mutari's link up play looked good at times, but if he wants to play for a top 4 Premiership side -go ahead and show us a bit more or develop our team or **** off. We had better starting options than Kieran imo.

He did OK in the first 20 minutes. We had better starting options than Henderson imo, if Catts was fit enough for the bench put him on the field.

Just ...don't go there, but yes, it wasn't a penalty

Suarez caused problems all day, 3-0 or 4-0 would have been a fair result.

We lost to the most in form team in this league atm - but yes, we never penetrated and we were generally poor.

i thought it was just slow. I thought we would be better in the second half without the wind but we just wernt.

Bardsley and Mensah were terrible. We need Turner back.

We didnt recover from the injuries and were just terrible

This comment on the BBC live commentary site sums it up.

1401: Sunderland really are knocking the ball around lovely today. Asamoah Gyan, Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson are really enjoying themselves out there. No end product as yet, however, and plenty of vulnerability at the back on show, too. This quite simply can't remain goalless for too long, can it?

I don't know the answer to that problem.

You are quite right - this is our worst team (the worst I've seen in over 35 years) but we have Kenny back motivating some very average players and he's doing a pretty good job so far. If we still had Roy as boss you probably would have spanked us.

I have to say Kudos to all the Sunderland supporters for not blaming the loss entirely on the ref. It was never a pen the ref got it right first time, but you had very few chances anyway so maybe did not deserve to win the game.

Gyan was poor but i thought Sess terrorised Johnson, however he was doubled up on and he had no support

I didn't watch the game, as I was busy, intending to watch it later, but I stupidly looked on the internet when I got home, and found out the score. I won't watch the game, I won't stop supporting the lads, I am a bit frustrated, but bring on City, I hope that we don't throw away this opportunity to finish relatively high in the league for the first time in nearly 10 years.

You have to agree that the penalty came at a time when we were pressing for a goal, some of our link up play was starting to pay off and slowly but surely we were getting close. The Penalty changed the game and once you were in front it was game over.

Disagree massively, Sess took the ball past people terrifically and when passing to nothing no pass is going to be a good final ball.

Sorry but cannot agree with that, your team is A not average and B starting to show signs of really gelling

we've got no excuses, we just didn't turn up again, another reality check,
dont know about the worst liverpool team cos i reckon that forward line is gonna tear a few teams apart, but the one who strings it together for them imo is kuyt totally underestimated
