Just having a look through our fixtures and I realised Huddersfield at home on 15th December was a 12:30 kick-off, and the following game away at Derby was on the friday night. Does anyone know if these games are on television at all. Cheers.
Not sure about the 'Udders but looking thru Sky's live schedule, I'm sure it said they're showing Notts Forest vs Them in white. Things could change, but I'd be very surprised.
Huddersfield and Leeds home on police advice, Derby away to avoid last shopping Saturday before Christmas!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKM43QMO8fg can't really blame them, still the most embarrassed I've been to be a football fan when we played them back in 2004.
Only upcoming City match on TV is vs Wednesday on 12th January. Looks like I'll be spending my 20th either partying or drowning my sorrows. Or somewhere in between if we draw.
My first City game, not the best game of football and awful scenes outside the ground yet I was hooked on City from then on!
Yes, the ineptness and incompetence of Humberside Police that day was acutely embarrassing. Warned of a mob of Huddersfield fans all on banning orders spending the afternoon in the pub they ignored them. They then ignored them causing trouble and attacking anyone in sight including kids and children. Only the arrival of City fans stirred the police into action (part of a plan no doubt) and resulted in more than 20 City fans being jailed after months of studying videos at great cost but the apprehension of just 1 Huddersfield fan. Totally useless seeing as they rounded up the Huddersfield fans and it would have been easy to et details on them, but of course they were allowed to go. Same with Millwall. Their fans rip up seats and throw them at City fans with no arrests, but the cretins fromthe Plod arrest City fans for waving their arms about from yards away separated by rows of coppers and dozens of seats, just to give the impression the unless shower are doing something. And for this inefficiency City are billed £60,000.
The Millwall thing was a complete farce, the Met were apparently 'too busy' to make the arrests, despite having names, addresses and photo evidence of all concerned.
As me and my brother entered the stadium for the Millwall game, I recall seeing a group of around 10 Millwall lads (about 18/19 years old tops) fill in a single Hull City fan. The City fan was ginger, I remember this for some reason. He had lots of pink marks on his face from where he'd been punched. The Police were a few yards away, leaning against a tree having a laugh whilst this went off. We had to urge them to intervene, along with the help of an old timer with a walking stick. The Millwall group then legged it back into their area, and this ginger kid got arrested. Presumably, for trying to defend himself. Crazy. He was outnumbered and against the stadium wall. I remember these Millwall lot all had matching jackets, flat caps and skinny jeans. I remember remarking that it was the least unnerving 'uniform' I'd ever witnessed. I enjoyed every second of that match though. Brilliant it was.
