Think they're also reporting we've lost out on Gervinho to Arsenal. Not suprised about either, they never showed any interest in joining us. Disappointing but hopefully we can get Sturridge in and others.

I couldn't care where he goes now to be honest.
He doesn't want to be here so we should put efforts towards a player hopefully as good or better with the hunger and desire to do well for us.

I'm not bothered about him either, but rather he went to Valencia or PSG than Spuds

Yeah, he's not particularly interested in us atm. If he does come to England, surely he'd want to come to a club thats in Europe, but I can't see him coming to England. If i had the choice, Valencia over PSG

Thought spurs wanted more of a Carroll style striker to lead the line? They always only play one up top and have wingers on the proper side, so they'd put a big guy up front. Llorente?

Yes we want Llorente. We bid for him in january, unsuccessfully, so hopefully try again this window. Pavlyuchenko fills the roll reasonably well, but we need a top striker if we want to challenge for CL places, and David Villa's replacement on the bench for Spain, is fine by me :D

Wasn't it like £35m you bid? Do you still have that money with not being the the champions league?

Llorente's class would like him to come to the Prem

Dzeko would have been a good fit as well if City hadnt got him.

I'd have thought so, as we never spent any of the cash, so it should still be there. In fact we'd also have gotten prize money for quarter finals of CL. The TV rights alone were more than the A.Madrid got the season before in Europa League, so the prize money is probably fairly substancial as well

Indeed he would've. Basically, there are loads of strikers that'd work for us, if big money spending didn't exist :(
