Yesterday the club issued this on the OS.... "The new pitch covers will be going back down this afternoon to protect playing surface from the rain expected over night. Work has been done at the Memorial Stadium by the ground staff this morning, and the pitch is currently playable. The covers will then need to come off tomorrow afternoon, and the club are looking for volunteers to help remove them. Volunteers will need to report to the groundsman's shed at 3.30pm. Match tickets will be provided to those who help" Today the club have tweeted this.... "Pitch covers will be on until around 3.30pm this afternoon. Rain is expected to have eased off by then" So no planned pitch inspection. Looks like game on then...... which I will be missing
another tweet.... "Covers coming off early to allow the sun and wind to get to the playing surface. Referee happy with the current situation"
