I'm not sure why, but I'm never confident about our Liverpool encounters. Their only where they are in the league( should be higher) because of a lack of goals. They're a tough nut to crack.
I thought if you took the two defining moments away ( Ba's strike cleared off the line and Simmo's characteristic indecisiveness ) we might be celebrating a draw.

    We've come a long way.

I think they're exactly where they should be in the league. Chelsea and Arsenal (assuming van Persie stays fit) are a cut above them in my opinion.

Game changing moment: Probert awarding a baffling free kick 20 yards out. I'm not taking defeat graciously, that stupid, incompetent **** cost us the game. <ok>

Game changing moment? Stevie G coming on. I am usually very critical of English players saying we do not have any real talent (although we have a lot of promising youth coming through) but Stevie G is a cut above 99% of players based on how he influences a game.

Stevie Gerrard coming on, Liverpool are a better team when he's is playing, like Shearer was for us.

Not sure why? Maybe because we haven't won at Anfield since like 1994?
