Despite having previously played for the club’s bitter rivals Arsenal, the Spurs fans took to the former France international and he was part a key part of the Tottenham team that reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2011.
QPR manager Harry Redknapp signed the centre-back when he was in charge at Tottenham and SportsDirect News understands the Rangers boss is weighing up a move for defender, who is available on a free transfer, as the Rs boss looks to achieve promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
Redknapp has already brought in Richard Dunne on a free but could use extra cover at the back after the departure of Christopher Samba this summer and Gallas comes with a wealth of experience.
The former Spurs man was recently in talks with Premier League new boys Crystal Palace with manager Ian Holloway looking to sure up his defence but a move failed to materialise.
Australian outfit Melbourne Victory were also interested in signing Gallas last month but the Frenchman is still without a club and looking for a new challenge.
