G-Day Beckons

To be perfectly honest, I´d say
This G-Day we may get blown away,
But, what the heck
It´s not going to wreck
Our season, nor the way we play

But, interestingly enough
For Gunners, it might, if they´re stuffed,
And just what that shows
I´m not sure, but goes
Some way to helping, if it´s tough

For them, a defeat´s not to bear
While for us, it´s nothing to fear,
Not many expect
That we will collect
Three points, and a celebratory beer

And though we´re closer to the top
Right now, it´s those down near the drop,
Who we need to beat
If we are to meet
Our target, and avoid the chop

So far at home, we haven´t seen
Any of the really top teams,
So it´s hard to know
Just what sort of show
Our lads will put on, if they´re keen

We´d like to think that we will match
Those big wage earners on our patch,
And that´s the beauty
Of this game, you see
And what keeps us wanting to watch

For no-one´s yet worked out a way
To prophesy just how the play,
Will go, or who´ll win
Before it begins
On any one given match day

So although the Gunners may feel
That this one´s almost a done deal,
They should know by now
Whether low or highbrow

Hi RBF! A mouthwatering prospect for those lucky enough to be able to attend!

This is NOT going to be 0 - 0, with Arsenals defensive record on the road, and our continuing failure to keep a clean sheet, it will come down to which of us can out-score the other! On our day, with Lady Luck granting us her favours, who knows? This could be our day!

For some strange reason there seems to be more trepidation for this game than for Chelsea,Man U and Liverpool which were all away matches.Let's just hope PL gets Pizza on his face,not egg.

Think that´s perfectly understandable Cruyff, to lose 3 or 4-0 away at any of those you mention, is no disgrace, but to lose by the same at home, ( which, let´s face it, could happen) looks and feels a lot worse. Still going for 2-2 myself.

Excellent stuff RBF!

I'm not as pessimistic about this as some. Last time we played them a t home, we lost 4-1, but that was an Arsenal team in the midst of a 49 game unbeaten PL run, and with the likes of Henry and Bergkamp playing.

They still have good players, of course, but I'm hoping for a better result this time out.

I remember that game too gandy, but I´d say we´re stronger now, and maybe Arsenal are slightly weaker, Henry and Bergkamp were a bit special, should even things out a bit, I´d say.
