16yr old youngster been having a trial at Saints and we look set to sign him permanetly. See link. Thoughts? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11095_7256980,00.html
haha, to be fair don't think many will know a lot about him. I guess its just more positive news for the academy and the future of the club if this goes through.
Think the picture shows he has been training with us, just going to translate the page in a minute. http://www.agffodbold.dk/news.asp?id=9536
From the article I just posted: U17 player Sebastian Gregersen left a positive impression when he last week was to try-out at Southampton FC. The southern English club, known for his talent and has spawned well-known names such as Theo Walcott, Gareth Bale, Alan Shearer and Matthew Le Tissier was so happy with it, the 16-year-old AGF plays shown during the week that the want to see him again. During his stay Sebastian Gregersen played two test matches for The Saints' academy team. First, it was a 2-4-defeat to Bristol Rovers - also in the presence of the club's manager, Nigel Atkins. AGF-player did generally well in the match and he stood out among other cards ahead of time with a good header attempt, however, hit the crossbar. In the second test match waiting for Arsenal, and again was Gregersen among the most prominent players in the Southampton team, but he could not prevent Arsenal won 3-2.
Googled him. Only things I've yet discovered: he has one goal in U-17s, there is a Danish youth hockey player of the same name, and I don't speak Danish.
Well it is conceivable that Silky's impression of the lad he found didn't tally with Saints idea of the level of player they wanted to recruit..
Saints in trial shocker. Not really, I'm sure we look at lots of young players over the season, hence signing players like Seidi. This one just happens to have found some press.
