Just had a look of this on the BBC website, interesting reading http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23669759 We are all pretty happy with Ellis's Stewardship of our club right now, but there will come a time when he moves on. With this in mind what do you all reckon about the club becoming a supporters trust club. I would certainly dip into my pocket for a slice of the action as I suspect would many thousands of fans worldwide. One of things we have in the north east...and I include those up the road, if a large fan base. Having Sunderland AFC owned and run by the fans sounds good to me in principal. If Short ever did decide his time was up, I would love the club to at least look into this as an option. Thoughts anyone ??
I'd rather have a decent bloke in charge with the capital to bail us out should something bad happen. But I'd rather have a supporters trust then someone like fatty mike.
i wouldnt mind owning part of the club. but we have generally been run at a loss so we would need to become profitable otherwise we would have to put more money in each year. also how would transfers work? would we all have to throw in a tenner?
