I'm all for Bruce, Di Matteo or Moyes.
I'd be over the moon with any of those.
All 3 are capable of building long term and playing half decent footy.

Only 1 has true managerial credentials and that is Moyes.
The others are mid table managers at best! Zola hasn't shown it yet at any club. Lennon only at Celtic. Laudrup not that great nor Di Matteo and Pulis truly is a mid table manager but seems wonderous because Pardew is so ****e!

Even before his Man Utd stint I always associated Moyes with dour football and I would not be overly happy with his appointment. Moyes rather than Pardew would be something of a relief, but I would only be really hopeful if the next appointment is a manager in the Martinez mould who would guarantee the reinstatement of attractive and effective football at St James' Park.

Bruce or McClaren for me. Probably the latter if I had a choice. He's a great coach by all accounts and teaches his players the game.

Currently bringing through a host of youngsters at Derby and did the same at Twente whilst winning the league in the process.

Derby also play some great attacking football.

Not keen on any of those. I'd argue whether they are all realistic too!

I think McClaren is an interesting one. I also like the idea of Paul Clement who is Ancelloti's assistant. Again though, not sure how realistic they are. Both have great jobs.

After that I'd like to take a chance on the Roslers, Howes etc of this world. Young managers who are cut from the new breed in terms of style.

Yeah, I certainly wouldn't want a Champions League winning manager in charge...

Wasn't his Champions League winning tactic all about keeping 10 men behind the ball, hoping for a goal on the break and then defending for your lives? Not the kind of football that will win the fans trust or fire their enthusiasm.

It was indeed. However he did generally try to get his teams playing the right way. He was just italian, i.e. not afraid to do something different or unpopular to win.

He'd be eaten alive up here though would RDM. Nice guy but when things went awry at West Brom and Chelsea, the pressure seemed too much and he couldn't turn the results around. Saing that others have bounced back and learnt from previous experience, Brendan Rodgers didn't look all that at Watford or Reading but then Swansea was the making of him.

On a serious note, Pulis might be a good option. He's not the perfect choice, but he does have the reputation of getting the best out of players, and saving teams from relegation

I do not think Moyes is available, I understand he has been employed at Sunderland to clean Gus Poyets shoes
