Humberside just had a clip of an interview with pappa and he said he would be open to the idea of future investment from outside although nothing was imminent. Does that mean there's something round the corner ?
He indicated there wasn't any other outside interest and Burnsy couldn't have been clearer with the question! I realize that he could have been playing his cards close to his chest, but my reading of it was that Papa Allam was telling the truth!
I suddenly thought there hadn't been any contact with Steve Bruce then bang he's the new manager.... Very suspicious of me I know but this is football
Fair point Geo. I listened intently as I knew early this morning I would be on at about 9.50 and given how the appointment of Bruce was handled, I did wonder if I needed to be careful and not end up sounding like some village idiot talking about a solution to the stadium issue, if Dr. Allam had clearly other irons in the fire so to speak. I was told (off mic) that it was a genuine response. OLM/Burnsy and others on here for that matter have called it right. The Melton thing was never serious. However, this situation is only going to fester between Club/Council and football club/RL club, if we can't progress the club (and the city as whole really) if we can't take advantage of the EPL monies. EDIT: When I say 'genuine response' I meant to say that there wasn't any 'embargoed' information
I would not rule anything out now. Also, Public pressure may yet still force the HCC to sell the KC to the Allams in the future.
