My club, the one I have followed and supported for 40 years and spent god knows how much money on, told me today that I will not be able to buy tickets for this Saturday's game because I have not bought online for 2 seasons. Of course, this means that me, my son, my wife, my mate, his dad and his brother are not wanted at the gate. I am so angry I can hardly type. I have a good mind to boycot the Fing club if that's their attitude towards me. How DARE they tell me I am not a proven supporter? Insulted doesn't begin to cover what I am feeling right now.
A lot of on-line sites kick you out if you haven't used the service for a specific period. It's very frustrating and I'm sure that by a few well placed complaints you can get yourself re-instated quite easily. Could be pay-pal is the problem and not BCFC so check and enjoy the game.
Can I buy the tickets for you as a season ticket holder? It appears they are being ultra sensitive to the fact leeds fan are trying to buy them and have been given strict instructions about who can buy and who cant. football fans can be unbelievably devious when it comes to getting tickets (I know, I have done it!) If not e-mail David Llyodd at the club and he will try to help I'm sure. david lloyd <[email protected]>
They DO have me in their database they admit, so they know exactly who I am, but I have bought my tickets at the ground since Blackpool away in 2008. I haven't needed to buy online so why should I? I WILL write a strongly worded letter don't you worry.
You tell them bcfcredandwhite perhaps they'll put you in the directors box as an apology. It would be the right thing to do (lol).
I hear they're not selling to people not on the database because they are trying to keep Leeds out of our home areas because of last years trouble
Thanks Banksy - I may take you up on that if I can't manage my own way around this. Cheers mate - just the offer is worth a pint.
It wouldn't be a problem. let me know. To be honest I am toying with thought of going skiing on Weds so might have two ST's you could borrow, but cant make my mind up yet! David Lyodd is the fan liaison officer at the Gate and I'm sure he will do all he can to help if you contact him. (really annoying though!)
What a bloody attitude, getting to big for their boots, letters and e-mails to all concerned and send a copy to the booking office, raise **** at the top and let the little Hilters know you ain't prepared to take it.. Good luck mate, it stinks....
This is piss poor. With attendances so low at the moment (as a rule) they ought to be ****ing grateful to every one of us that pays to watch. Way to run a business !!!!!!!!
Bcfcredandwhite, this is a disgusting way to treat a loyal supporter. I suggest you change your support to a proper family club that needs the support. We will even send a taxi to pick you and your good family up and treat you to corporate hospitality and arrange your taxi home. Cant be fairer than that.
Manga and YOBG - Bcfcredandwhite is just disappointed, He's not desperate enough to become one of the blue few
"We will even send a taxi to pick you and your good family up and treat you to corporate hospitality and arrange your taxi home" good offer, but sooo lonely! Mr McGoo will be bumping back down to earth shortly so will need to go quick too!
I already know of 2 Leeds fans who are going to the game (don't worry - they are the peaceful, quiet types) - perhaps I should ask them if they could get me a couple of tickets?
The thing is Red, I AM on the database. The reason they won't sell to me is because the last ticket I bought in advance over the phone was Blackpool away in 2008. I have been to lots of games since but either bought them on the day or been given them as hospitality. The last game I attended was Forest - and me and my mate and his bro were 15 minutes late into the ground because the only 2 ticket kiosks in operation by the City Shop were taking EVERYBODYS names and addresses before issuing the tickets. They must have a record of this, but they say they can't find it. GRRrR
