Funny thing about being Promoted with a smaller club like us

You know, there is a psychological screw-up that happens to some when they achieve a Promotion "Dream" with a club like us.
You know that silver-lining dream that we all have? You see your team in the lower league on paper, you see the League tables, and you dream of seeing your team up there in the lights, in the heights. So the players work hard at it, and by miracles they make it!

When they make it, they think - ah man, this is it! We're at the top leagues! We're there! And so do we, as die-hard supporters.

But then, for some players, it's a let down. You know why? Because they still have to show up at the same ground, same club, and the same locker room. By some miraculous movement of osmosis, some players (I can assure you), think that they should be playing at the glitz and glamour of a HUGE stadium club of the world like Man U or Barcelona. And that somebody is a player like Adel.

That's why he's been moping along all season. Some players need to move along. Some players believe that the promotion is also a complete change of scenery, that the club and stadium at QPR would have been miraculously transported and/or rebuilt to a brand new facility that is high-tech, total luxury and just, Super! It's like when you win the lottery and you buy yourself a new house, a new car, new clothes and new friends (hahaha). You MOVE. You change. Your surroundings change. And that's what a guy like Adel thought would happen. And no wonder he's played like ****e this season. He just doesn't want to be here.

Yapster you have descended into over-analysis mate. This is QPR we will always be the first to shoot ourselves in the foot one way or another.

The Stella bell has just rung and my advice is to get down the pub and stop worrying about the state of Adel's brain.

    If there is one.

Yappy, fair does to you. At first I thought you were a complete WUM, possibly Bluezzzzz in disguise. Decent post, although a bit over analytical :)

<laugh> Just how far from Chelsea village are you then? One good thing about the Midlands is the refreshing lack of Chelsea fans. All the glory hunters round here are United and Liverpool.

Wow, you seem to know exactly how Adel thinks and feels. Are you his best friend?

Great, another Adel slating thread/post <doh> Get a life, if you are a QPR supporter i would suppose you supported our players rather than having a dig at every oppurtunity. What has Adel done wrong this time? He's on international duty for crying out loud! Before that he was our best player in three consecutive games, jog on with your negativity.
