Hey guys is there any rumors out there about us signing a LB/RB i feel we need one for each side! I know Connolly can play anywhere along the back 4 but he cant cover CB LB and RB, to me hes been brought in to replace Gezza
I see him as a replacement for Darcy... K9 is more than capable of filling AG's shoes imo. From what I've read/been told Connolly had a nightmare v Wurzels and didnt look a first choice CB... but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt as I haven't seen him play yet although he isnt a bad player. Turner took no part in training today (benni was at the Vale for a while) so if he's injured/on his way out then we definately need at least 2 defenders in.
I've already said it somewhere but there must be quality young fbacks who wont be needed in PL squads. I've mentioned Liverpool's 2 in the past but surely with our new seemingly deep pockets we can afford to out bid most others in the Championship to secure a quality young QUICK fb on loan for the season.
So as Cover for 4 positions we got K9 and Connolly and a youngster in Nuggent, That is still worrying! We need a Fullback
With Connolly able to play L, R and centre, maybe MM sees him as a 3-in-1? With the extra 2 subs again, put K9 on the bench and the back 4 is covered. Agree its not ideal and still a bit light so unless there's movement tomorrow, MM could poss have an eye on a loanee. For now, I'm just going to worry about the out box tomorrow
