Like the idea of better communication within reason, but we must be carefull what info we put into the public domain, could end up giving rivals the edge in negotiation and what not.

Exactly, I don't want to know how much we still owe on players, I don't want to know how much Short is still to take from the club and I hope all players sold this window remain undisclosed. Chances are we're still in a weakened position even with good sales but I wouldn't want that to come across if possible. Not in open window time anyway. If we remain a mystery we're harder to negotiate against imo.

He'll have to try and reassure the fans in a way where he doesn't give much away.

Quite difficult though especially if he names exactly who the backers are.

West Ham's board are transparent. I think it's overrated. I'd rather they get on with their work and say little.

The only reason we've wanted transparency for the last few years is it's felt like no one has been doing their damn jobs.

If he mentions some of the people behind him, fans are going to search into their backgrounds and make assumptions on how rich they are.

True on second thoughts we just suck it and see what happens. Must say we need things to move at a pace or we'll be playing catch up as when the FA poached BSA. But we are going In a brighter direction now

Transparency is over-rated. In the pre-Ashley days NUFC were all about big bravado of "£xxx million warchest" and it never made sense from a bargaining position.

Since Ashley most of our dealings aren't made public, transfers are uniformly "undisclosed" and all the figures bandied around about transfer money and wages come from journalists rather than the club - most of whom can only guess like the rest of it. It is surely the best way to run any business. Why would you weaken your negotiating position?

Fans don't like it because we're overly hopefully, totally unreasonable and it's not our money!! I don't want the owner of my club to be my friend or run it as I, a fan, would - I want them to have their head rule their heart. Ashley does that. I just happen to hate the **** but I don't kid myself that I could do a better job!
