City have only once played at Sheff Wed in their 1st away game of the season. A 5-1 victory in 1971/72 & a hat-trick by John Galley.
They may be tough fixtures but look at league 1 games and ask yourself who would you rather play, see you in September
Since the sixties I waited for football in the top tier and eventually got it, I think the opportunities are there to get up there again but I don't think realistically we can in the foreseeable future, well my foreseeable future anyway...this is by no means being negative, simply realistic, there is 6 places to grab the opportunity, 2 guaranteed and 1 to fight for. The division is not going to get any easier and the parachute payments make relegation all the more a softer landing and springboard to return.. OF THE 3 DOWN THIS YEAR I think HULL will bounce back, Burnley may be the weakest and QPR get top 6, so 3 places to play for? !
