We are currently the 2nd in the goals conceded table with 9 in 11 games conceded. Credit has to go to the defense. Basso Rosenior Chester Hobbs Dudgeon. Certainly deserve huge praise, really impressed, certainly one of the best in the championship on paper and on the day. Can't see anyway we could knock the defense, if we didn't have them we'd be knackered. If they keep it up and we get the odd goal, we'll keep moving up!
They are all gelling together just hope one of them does not get injured and we have to play MCSHANE ha ha
dont think anyone would wanna change our defence either, McShane is great back up. A very commited player, and will put 100% into the game, he has quality. Just like the rest of the Manchester United lads. Don't think people realise he is still quite young considering hes been around for years. only 25 years old.
That's what I inferred too, when I posted above. Macca ok as back-up, but don't want this back four to be damaged.
Macca is a good replacement, my worry is that if any of the back 4 get injured it may upset the rhythm between them all, maybe only for one game. But Macca can do a job at this level and will hopefully take his chance when he gets it.
I suppose we saw a change when Dudgeon was replaced by Dawson, and improved us. Even when Dawson got injured they have maintained a good rhythem, and continued looking excellent.
I remember some donut calling Blunderside after a Premier League game and saying it was time for McShane to hang up his boots. He was 23 at the time.
Mcshane if played as a centre back is a reasonable back up if either Chester or Hobbs are out. He certainly is not comfortable at right back.
There are some idiots around, but to be fair to them I was suprised at his age when I found out a couple of weeks back. Seems he's been around for decades. I always like to see the Ginger Ninja and his motoring scissors down the right flank!
Fair point, though the defence has been the same since Peterborough away (i think), but then again the midfield that appeared to be largely working well has been tweaked and doesn't appear to be any worse for it so I could maybe be wrong on that one.
I wouldn't say you were wrong mate, I know where your coming from. At some point this season theres going to be an injury or suspension to the back line (hopefully not, but can't rule it out) and you have to wonder if it going to upset that. I think under NP are defence has been incredible, conceded 9 in 11, 4 at Leeds, impressed. Home form is going to be crutial, as our away form takes care of itself. we are on the up!
