cheekily was hoping for hastings as only 25 mins from me , but happy with our draw and delighted for hastings being drawn to play middlesborough provided they win the replay,

Quite a few decent games, all of which I'd like to see:

    Crystal Palace vs Stoke City
    Wigan Athletic vs AFC Bournemouth
Middlesbrough vs Harrogate Town or Hastings
Lincoln City or Mansfield Town vs Liverpool
    Luton Town vs Wolverhampton Wanderers
Barrow or Macclesfield Town vs Cardiff City
    Crawley Town vs Reading
    Derby County vs Tranmere Rovers

Why have I got the Crawley match running through my mind again?

Please Bruce, don't make the same mistake Nick did - pick a decent side...

Nice draw and a good one for the fringe/squad players to get a game. Orient looked dire yesterday and Alfreton should have had the game wrapped up within 20 mins. They then hit the bar twice again after getting the score back to 2-3. Orient are no Crawley Town for starters.

Good game to have and a nice 4th round draw looms large. Round 5 can be when we get a Big draw imo.

IF City make it £10 adults, £5 concessions and kids(under 12) a quid then a big crowd should be assured. <ok>

For TV I think it'll be Man United V West Ham, the winner of Mansfield/Lincoln V Liverpool and Swansea V Arsenal.

You also forget game such as Crystal Palace v. Stoke City, Crawley Town v. Reading and Brighton v. Newcastle would also make good tv games. Who wants WHU v. MU anyway ? we see enough of them.

Easy. Give it some thought then.

Work it out if you can do.

I haven't got time to work you out, I need to get to Specsavers as I thought McShane handballed the winner on Saturday!

Any of those nine games in bold could be selected for TV. 5 games will be televised across ITV and ESPN.

Can not really see the point of this thread at all as everyone will have their own thoughts.
Look forward your report on the matches actually selected.
What about Leeds v Birmingham or QPR v WB?

How do you mean? We could get Manchester United in R4 if we both win our games. If we won that we could then get somebody like Charlton Atheltic.

If I skew what you said, I think you meant you'd like us to get a crap team in the next round then get a bigger team apro pro achieving a moderately successful cup run.

I would suggest that Luton v. Wolvers would have more appeal than Peterboro v. Norwich. Especially for the older generation of fans who remember Luton in there better days.

Indeed Tommy, Indeed. You win the prize. That is exactly what i mean. To give others an example of this i will take us all back to 1971 FA Cup run when we most certainly had the luck of the draw.

    Rd.3 Charlton at home(BP) won 3-0
    Rd.4 Blackpool at home(BP) won 2-0
    Rd.5 Brentford at home(BP) won 2-1
Rd.6-qtr finals Stoke City at home(BP) Lost 2-3 after being 2-0 up by 2 waggy goals against Gordon Banks. (gate well over 41,000)

Thats the sort of good cup run that had thousands of Hull City fans excited back then.

But back to 2013, assuming we beat Orient, we could have a round 4 game against the winners of say Aldershot/Rotherham/Notts County and then a PL team in rd.5...someone like Newcastle or Sunderland maybe. ?

So why didn't you just say "If we beat Orient, I would like another lower league team in the 4th round so we have a good chance of meeting a premiership side in round 5"?
