Fulhams Michael Jackson statue

  1. I understand the symbolism and respect the memory of Michael Jackson, but that statue looks like it took 20 minutes to make.

    What an eyesore!

I thought it was going to be a golden statue and a piece of art, but all it is, is a plastic piece of ****e with an awful paint job.

If you're going to paint a memorial statue to MJ, make it of him when he did have his skin problem, because that's when he was in his prime, and in his thriller costume.

Also why is it of any concern to Fulham? Surely a former player or manager would be far more appropriate.

It looks absolutely awful. He looks like something out of Planet of the Apes.

Agreed. I'd be fuming if I were a Fulham fan, complete stain on their stadium and no doubt their fans will get some stick for having a statue of a man with *****phile tendencies outside their ground.

It's got nothing to do with football or Fulham, I don't care if he was a mate of Mohammed Al Fayed.
It's like Ashley putting a statue of Llambias outside St. James' if he dies.

The statue looked really naff and as has been said already, what has he got to do with Fulham or football? Very strange decision.

Should have done one for Sir Bobby Robson or Jonny Haynes at least they represented Fulham, Michael Jackson went to one game in 1999.

An absolute eyesore. What has he got to do with Fulham?. If I was a supporter I'd tear it down over night.

Al Fayed slammed fans who have complained about the statue and denied that its presence at the stadium is strange.

"Why is it bizarre? Football fans love it,” he said in News of the World

"If some stupid fans don't understand and appreciate such a gift they can go to hell.

"I don't want them to be fans. If they don't understand and don't believe in things I believe in they can go to Chelsea, they can go to anywhere else

Al Fayed is a prick. Can't stand the bloke, what a thing to say about the people who've been lining his pockets for so many years. It IS ugly, tacky, distasteful and irrelevant. Embarrassing.

What a ****. Just seen the statue, it's ****ing hilarious. This is the sort of **** Ashley does though, if Al Fayed has such an obsession with Michael Jackson he should have a statue built in a public place somewhere else, not force it on the supporters of the football club he owns. It's like Ashley painting his logo all over the stadium, completely out of touch with the fans.
