What to do when I'm bored? Let's criticise another club.

Can anyone else understand how Fulham are so high up in the table? It just doesn't seem right to me. Fulham just below Everton and Liverpool. They never have gave the impression of a top 10 side, nevermind top 8. They never have been a big club by any means.

How do you guys predict they'll do next season? Personally, I think they've only got by so well because they have managed to bag so many older players on the cheap who still have good quality. However, this approach won't last for much longer. This is the age some of their players will be by next season:

    Schwarzer - 39
    Salcido - 32
    Hangeland - 31
    Murphy - 35
    Duff - 33
    Hughes - 32
    Zamora - 31
    Davies - 32

And most of their other players aren't below 25. Surely they have one of the oldest squads in the league by some margin? Some of their key players will begin to deteriorate fairly soon, and there isn't much youth yet to take their place.

Plus, their squad is tiny. 22 players. By comparison, we have 36.

So what is it? Quality? Was it just Mark Hughes working his magic? Was it key players like Hangeland and Dempsey? What do you guys think?

Just checked their board there on predictions for next season. Some of them think 8th, some 12th and some even think they will finish 7th and overtake Everton...

Not sure what to make of it all really, but something about Fulham just doesn't add up.

Very good defence, and Dempsey gets a lot of goals from midfield.

Really small pitch and goalposts at home that's why they have a great record at home.

I've never really met anyone who had a bad word to say about Fulham and their fans. I also like the location of Craven Cottage on the banks of the Thames.

The statue of Wacko Jacko is still a bit strange though.

Oh yeah, not criticising the fans or actual club itself at all (despite the first line). No intention. I just truthfully, honestly cannot understand how they've done so well. Nothing quite adds up right. If someone can explain how I'd happily accept it.

I think the key word for Fulham would be consistency. They're a well organised bunch who keep pressing and rarely make mistakes. Their injury record is very good too I gather.

I quite like Fulham, they've got a nice little ground, and there is always a nice relaxed atmosphere. But, I have gotta gree though, I think in a year or two they'll be scraping it for relegation. I cant see them attracting many high calibre players, and when their older players retire, I can see them struggling.

Experience. Add up the number of seasons those players have played more than 15 games in the EPL and I bet it's double, or even triple our number. And as they say practise makes perfect

Their defense was key to their success last season , Hangeland and Salcido in particular were brilliant for them.

Quite surprised actually that nobody has come in for Hangeland!

Also their attack was very strong and I was extremely impressed by their Belgian signing : Moussa Dembele. Zamora did well for them as well.

But their squad really is aging so they need to invest in some players this summer.

Theyve got Jol as manager now too, so those saying they could fall down the league I disagree with. Hes a decent manager and will have them round about the top 10.

    I agree with that.

Also; they have one of the smaller squads in the league so they also play for each other.

Quite a lot of "hard" players too, not brittle foreign ****e that breaks down every three games.

    Chappaz.

Look at there defence(for most of last season) :

Baird Hughes Hangeland Salcido - All very experienced, consistent & realible. Now it'll probably be : Hughes Sendoros Hangeland Riise.. those four players could comfortably play for most EPL sides outside of the top six. Hughes/Hangeland.. especially.

Midfield : Dempsey/Davies Murphy Sidwell/Etuthu Duff/Briggs/Riise(other one not Jorn Arne) - Dempsey especially! Rate him a lot. Bags his fair amount of goals and assists.

Strikers : Zamora/Johnson/Dembele/NEW ST* - They've been linked to DJ Campbell and Robbie Keane, because of Dembele being out for a few months I think. Zamora/Johnson partnership is pretty good when there BOTH FIT.

They probably have the better strikers, better midfield? Dempsey aside.. I think we have the edge on Duff/Murphy/Sidwell. Defence.. I'm gonna have to say Fulham! Hangeland is better than Saylor and maybe even Colo(different types of CB's though), Baird is consistent & solid(better than Simpson in the defensive department) & Riise is still a good LB but Enrique is better. <ok>

Bang there you go! I think it's because of key players like Zamora, Hangeland & Dempsey!

Cant find a anything bad about Fulham. Lilly Allen supports them so that will do for me. <smooch>
