Is enormous for us. Fulham will surely beat a relaxed Palace at home on last day. If they beat Hull they'll get 36pts. This would mean 3 home wins would leave us needing another point. I think we could tie Swans or WBA but they both have miles better Gd. Assuming we reel in Norwich and Cardiff, we need Fulham to only get 5 more pts from: Spurs (a) Hull (h) Stoke (a) Palace (h) After they lose at Spurs if they fail to beat Hull that can hopefully break the back of their revival
I've been studying, and I mean studying the remaining games since last nights shot of hope, and I don't think it's Fulham to be caught. Ignoring Norwich & Cardiff, I think we need to be looking at catching WBA as we have them at home, and they are only 7 clear of us. They have - City away - surely we shocked them enough last night that they won't drop the ball again West Ham home - This looks like they could get summat from, but they concede a lot and West Ham score, I'm saying score draw. Arsenal away - Don't see anything here SAFC AWAY Stoke home - Stoke are a very focused side, and will look to end strong, looks a draw to me. If these were WBA results, we'd need 9 points.
I'm not sure that is 100% true. They have Pulis (not everyones cuppa tea) but he will remained focused and I am sure, probably more hope that him and his team will remain focused until the end. I was pretty impressed with the way he spoke after the Everton game.
Agree with that, I don't see palace relaxing at all, they will want to finish as high as possible, Pullis won't let them relax and they are in great form currently.
I thought after Sat it was Cardiff Norwich and WBA we needed to catch. I just don't like the fact they've got 33pts already. Fulham are my biggest hope but I'm not giving up on WBA/Swansea
You now, looking beyond us, Villa aren't safe yet you know Southampton H Swansea A Hull H City A Spurs A Not easy games those, you'd hope the Hull players are playing for their cup final shirts, Villa are in apalling form.
I thought we were down and it still seems very likely, but last night gave me hope. If we win vs Cardiff is a couple of weeks then I think we could stay up, if we don't then nothings changed and we'll go down That being said saturday's game vs Chelsea is also massive, we need points from every game
If Cardiff beat Stoke at home this weekend, Newcastle will roll over and let Cardiff bum them 100% - I reckon means your game against Cardiff will be massive, they're nowhere near gone yet. It's a bit sad though that they're trying to get a result made void saying Pulis knew the team, I bet he didn't know Everton's team last night. I'd like to See Cardiff stay up for obvious reasons (The Babyfaced Assassin) but they're starting to get on my nerves a bit, I wish Ole wasn't there so I could hate them.
My ice cold Leo beer, say's 'we're ****ed anyway', let's just re-group, and have some fun/ The biggest club in the lower reaches, yet again.
A relaxed Palace turned over Everton last night. TV money makes an extra place even more lucrative this season and Pulis is a pro and I think they'll try to win every game they have remaining.
Villa v Swansea is a big game and the loser of that will be nursing a squeeky bum. Still think Norwich are the only hope for one of us fulham or cardiff to avoid the drop. It maddens me when I look at the league table and think of some of our dire displays against the teams around us if we'd just put that extra effort in like they do against the top sides we wouldn't be in this situation.
