Hayden doing the presser with Brucey this morning... please log in to view this image Hayden now expects to stay at City for the rest of the season. He says he's flattered by talk of a permanent move, but won't be deciding anything until the summer. No new injury concerns, Michael Dawson and Adama Diomande are not quite ready yet, both are aiming to be available for the Bury game. Alex Bruce has trained all week and will travel to Fulham. There's a chance we could have an entirely fit squad for the Bury game. Bruce confirms he does expect to do some business and sign a striker on loan before the end of the month. He was also asked what he knew about the sale of the club, he said nothing, it was none of his business.
Incredibly harsh on Meyler if he does, same can't be said for Elmo though, Snodgrass should be a permanent fixture in the team from now on.
I think the only change would be Meyler in for Hayden, but I think SB will stick with the same team. We looked a lot more balanced with Snodgrass in the side instead of Elmo, and he worked much better with Dave on the right.
If Brucey has any hope of convincing Hayden that his future might be with us on the back of a 6-0 win, he has little choice if everyone is fit but to pick the same starting eleven. So unchanged for me. Harsh on Meyler but that's football I expect it may be harsh on Curtis also in the not distant future (Burnley a) when Daws is fit? I expect it may be harsh on Mo as well if a loan striker comes in and hits the ground running along with Brucey wanting two upfront?
Where's that come from, I've not seen it mentioned by anyone at the press conference and I can't believe anyone would think we were interested anyway?
I'm sure it will be the same starting X1 v Fulham. Then wholesale changes for Bury. For that he'll bring back Elmo, Hudd, Meyler, Akpom, Maloney, Taylor etc - a very strong second string. In fact an overall stronger squad then the one we used when we reached the final in 2014.
He went in August, but he's not getting a look in, his last league appearance first week November. Leeds have been trying to get him on loan.
Did he do much at Boro? He's quite rotund and seems a bit of a trouble causer. Not really the sort of player we should be looking at.
Scored 11 in 56 league games at Boro, he's quite skillful, but he's more of an attacking midfielder/second striker, definitely not what we need.
Sky reporting it to be from Bruceys presser this morning pre Fulham Frankly I am delighted that Brucey has said he has no interest!
SKY - HULL CITY LATEST Hull City manager Steve Bruce has played down reports linking the club with a move for Bournemouth's Lee Tomlin, suggesting there was no truth in the link at all. Bruce, speaking at his pre-Fulham press conference, also said he's received no bids - lots of telephone calls - but no bids for his players and that he is not inclined to start breaking up his squad at this stage of the season.
Hayden gotta stay in surely ?? Footballs harsh and we all know that Meylers a bloody decent bloke and will wait his turn to get back in. It normally brings the best out of Meyler when he returns.
I really like the lad. Comes over really well. Sky can **** off though. "Played down reports". Dismissed utter bollocks made up by ****s more like.
Sky often simply regurgitate what's elsewhere in the public domain already, and in any event always have the standard get-out clause which is 'Sky sources' ; it's never Sky themselves!
