Looking around trying to see if there is an official 'event' or forum for fans to voice opinions to the club - I'd the Arsenal AGM in mind but then I don't think that's open to all fans of Arsenal. I'm guessing our ownership model means that isn't open to fans? Is the Fulham Supporters Trust the best forum? Has anyone got experience of attending?
Haven't had any involvement with the Trust for years except occasional looking at their website. However, so far as I'm aware they are the only group that has direct access to the 'hierarchy'. Tom Guthrie was the main Club liaison person but as I posted elsewhere he's now left the Club and hasn't been replaced. According to the Trust site they held an AGM in January but there's no note of any planned meeting with the Club.
Here's your chance Silky. I realise it's a focus group about matchdays and the Club will try and be selective with their invitations, but in the current circumstances they're naive if they believe the agenda won't be widened. Unless of course they 'airbrush' it like that early Shad Khan video interview with fans. But then why even bother? please log in to view this image Your Club, Your Thoughts The Club will be holding a focus group with fans at Craven Cottage this Thursday 6th March to discuss supporter interaction and engagement on matchdays. We’ve had some ideas of our own that we’d love to run by you, the Fulham supporters, whilst it would also be great to get your suggestions. This is your Football Club, and we hold the opinions of our fans in the highest regard, so we are looking for a group of supporters to come down to the Cafe at the Cottage on Thursday for an informal discussion regarding what you’d like to see on matchdays. If you’re interested, please email [email protected], using the subject header ‘Focus Group’, with the following information: •Age •Client reference number •Your seat location on matchdays In your email, please mention any ideas you already have. Also, if you have some thoughts but are unable to attend on Thursday, please feel free to send us an email with your ideas. The event will start at 6pm (for 6.30pm). Light refreshments will be made available, and we will contact successful candidates in due course. Please note that applying does not guarantee you a place at the focus group, as space is limited.
Haha - that's a screening process if I've ever seen one - I wonder how they'd react if my 'ideas' were all entirely positive but I then voiced negative opinions at the event. I'll be firing off an email, although I suspect I'd be flogging a dead horse if they did let me attend.
