Thanks, WDWW. I was planning to be there tonight, but that hasn't worked out for me. I just hope the stream works better for me than last time.

Anyway, if I don't get to see a moment of it and we record a big win, I'll be more than happy with that trade off.

Schwarzer, Kelly, Hangeland, Hughes, Briggs, Duff, Murphy, Sidwell, Kasami, Dempsey, Zamora

Looks like Big Mart fooled us all. Great to see Kasami starting and Hughesy back where he belongs. Brave choice of full backs, but I'm still upbeat. COYW!

4-4-1-1 ? Deuce behind big Bobby, or 4-1-3-2

I was about to post that we're 1-0 up (Hughes), when blow me, Clint Dempsey makes it 2-0 as my fingers moved to start typing. Now lets make sure we keep the clean sheet, and anything more will be a bonus.

Maybe the BBC are being a bit OTT, but he's a far cry from what he was last season.

The ref's getting a bit card happy by the sound of it - Duff and Zamora booked (harshly, according to the BBC Radio London commentator) in the last few minutes. I hope this doesn't come back to haunt us with suspensions later in the tournament. Assuming that we go through - I don't like to take anything for granted, even at 3-0.

Europa League regulation 22.04: "...single cautions and pending yellow-card suspensions expire on completion of the play-offs. They are not carried forward to the group stage"

So as long as the offending players don't do anything silly in the second leg, we should be all right. If we don't concede an away goal, there may even be a case for resting Bobby and Duff.

As I typed the words 'concede an away goal' Kalinic burst into our box. I've got prophetic fingers tonight! Maybe I should start typing 'Clint Dempsey hat-trick'.

    (waiting)

    Clint Dempsey's hat-trick.

    Clint Dempsey's hat-trick.

    (sigh) still waiting.

Pretty much the perfect result, no?

Job only half done though. I enjoyed listening to Rufus Brevett - reminded me of my youth, watching him play (by the way, he has no right to laugh at anyone for having a ridiculous hair style...)

Note: I love listening to the radio when they think they've gone off air! :D

Both fullbacks did well - Kelly was v good in first half. I don't think anyone played badly. I'm still impressed with Kasami
