Fulham FC enquiry in to Stamford Bridge

    Dont hang me for this, but I did hear it from a friend of a friend who works at SB (I have been tipped off reliably before from him about other things)
    Apparantly, now that we have started looking for alternative sites for a new stadium, Fulham FC actually called Chelsea to enquire about obtaining Stamford Bridge if/when we do eventually move.:shocked:
    As it has nearly 20,000 more capacity than the Craven Cottage and is a ready made stadium it would be an ideal move for them, and its just across the road (nearly) from their current location.

    Would you guys mind this? I wouldnt like anyone playing at our old digs for sentimental reasons. I was shocked to hear this

    I think this would go down like a lead balloon for most Chelsea fans!

    not trying to be smart here but Chelsea would make FAR more from developing the site -never on the cards in my eyes!

    They've got the most interesting ground in the country! I'd be shocked if I was a Fulham fan to leave Craven Cottage!

    Right on the money TEL. We will need heaps and heaps of dosh for a new stadium, and will have no choice but to make the maximum we can from the Bridge. It may become a Westfield Centre, another Apartment development, whatever, but it won't become the next Craven Cottage.
