Get the prize for the most "middle class" bunch of fans to ever visit St Mary's. I bet the away end concourse was spotless after the match. Nice.
Before the classy "You've got a statue of a *****" chant they seemed to have a pretty impressive one - anybody able to make out what it was?
Was it like "footlight college's" chant ???
Thought they were pretty poor, more interested in slagging us off than getting behind their team. Quiet for most of the game too.
I'm sure if they dropped back down the divisions, they'd be back to the 4-6,000 crowds they used to get. Fair play for staying in the Prem and not even really flirting with relegation, but I just can't find it in my heart to like Fulham. If they are the future of football with a large chunk of their home support made up of "day trippers" then its a future that pushes me away from the game a bit more.
I think they did flirt with relegation a few seasons ago. In fact I think it was one of the most impressive escapes of all time if I remember correctly.
Cos our fans are what? We can't even fill our stadium, and we boo our own players after two incredible seasons of football. Fulham might be middle class, but sometimes we show no class at all. And i remember when they beat the drop that year, it was an incredible achievement. I've got soft spot for all the smaller London clubs (except West Ham).
I move threads and another stupid comment from you. We fill our stadium all the time and had many sell outs past few seasons as well in lower divisions. This game was televised, an early kick off and on a Sunday. We got a decent crowd in. Go and support Fulham.
Ouch! That was a little harsh - but I do concur with your comments on our boo-boys; its embarassing to hear. CBK writes he has no time for Fulham - but I have a soft spot for Fulham and Craven Cottage. I have alot of respect for them and their fight to stay in the Premiership and I remember too the season that Hodgson was brought in late-on and kept them up.
Thanks for the compliment. Not sure Fulham are the future of football. Would you rather be playing in the prem and have a clean stadium or down a division or two and find your stadium wrecked by Millwall fans?
I belive I spotted some humous on an away chair, also an empty bag of vegatable crisps! Why is it I can't register to buy tickets, but when I watched the match on the telly there was loads of empty seats?
Think there is a problem with the registration bit...though surely that should have been sorted by now. Suppose you can buy over the phone once it is on general sale...or do you need to be registered for that as well?
As I said on another thread, Fulham didn't look like a Team that sit 9th in the Premier, but the tables don't lie, at this stage it is very difficult to figure out what teams are good, there are a bunch at the top, that we cannot even think of matching, there seems to be three echelons within the Premier, we are in the bottom group at the moment, but it wouldn't take a lot of tweaking for us to move up a bit. The obvious lack of defensive cover, particularly on the left side could be addressed in January, we are a jigsaw that definitely has a few pieces missing, we have to accept that for now, and hope it can be turned around. Continued criticism of individuals may make you feel better through getting it off your chest, but isn't going to make a lot of difference in the meantime, do it by all means, but can I be excused for not joining in, it doesn't work for me.
I'm sure you have to be registered to buy any tickets, and you need a registration no to buy over the phone!
I am sure you can buy individual tickets on the day, the main problem is groups of people wanting to sit together, you could ring up before you travel just to make sure of ticket availability.
Agree with this. We are cleraly not in the top half a dozen but with hard work and a couple of additions ta the back we can finish comfortably in mid table. We have yet to play any of the bottom sides bar Villa.
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/tickets/ticket-prices/ doesn't mention having to register for tickets when they are on general sale, the difficulty may be in finding out when the general sale period is on. We may be a Premier Club but the Ticket office is still only Div One quality it would appear.
