They really seem to hate us, some of their fans say this is their biggest game of the season!

I don't know about all of you but I don't have a problem with Fulham at all, never seen them as rivals, I like them and Craven Cottage is a nice ground.

But if you read Cottage Corner or whatever it's called they have loads of threads about the match and us <laugh>

I think they're alright - after all, if you can nickname yourselves the Cottagers then you must have a decent sense of humour.

I work with a Fulham fan who is one of the nicest blokes you could meet, in fact i like him more than a lot of our own. He's got tickets through someone else in the Ellerslie stand but i've advised him it might not be a good idea. Shame really :(

Not sure why they think there is such a rivalry. We've hardly played them during the last few years and they have done better than us. How are we meant to be a threat? I thought Chelsea would have been considered more of a rival to them as it would with us.

What do we know though, Brentford still think we are rivals!!

    Fulham fans hate us.
They are all nice to your face, we're clubs of the similar ilk etc etc.
But deep down they really feel inferior to us.
Therefore, by beating us they feel a degree of becoming accepted into the upper echelons of the football stratus.

The misconception that they are all Ruperts etc is just that.
Around 30% of their support is made up of middle -upper class 'nineties, noughties & tourist type soccer fans.'
The rest of them however, is made up of the 80's football thug and their bastard sons, who are now
in their early 20's and late teens. It is this generation that will turn-up at LR tomorrow looking for trouble.

I know this as fact. I have heard it from the horses mouth that some 200-300 Fulham are coming to LR
to kick-off. The young amongst them hate us more than Chelsea.
I have heard this from them themselves.

Sounds like you need to put down your horse. I have never witnessed any real trouble between QPR and Fulham fans over 40 odd years. There will always be some hot heads at any club but please don't try to stir up a riot. It's almost like you're looking forward to it.

I'm not sure a rampaging mob of hedge fund managers moaning about the price of lattes in St Moritz is meant to be scary??

What are the pies like at Fulham? I've not tried one. Are they a little 'upmarket'? Maybe a caramelised red onion and chevre or vension & redcurrant??

    Hmmm :emoticon-0148-yes:

Sorry to disagree but there was quite a lot of trouble when we played them at their place a good few years back in the Championship if i remember right (90's or 00's)

And again sorry to disagree but if you ever get to meet 999 you will know that he is the last person who would be looking forward to trouble (I think his Mrs and little girls would disown him)

so many things wide of the mark doont know where to start, ffc feel inferior to rangers no way, chelsea i admit it. it means very little beating rangers, put one over mark hughes means more, beating the likes of man u 3 times, chelsea once juventus, arsenal etc, rangers is not on the radar. And where are you more likely to see trouble at a craven cottage match or loftus road, i know rangers fan in there 40s who still go to football games looking for trouble thats a fact, when ffc played rangers at craven cottage o.k it was 12 years ago rangers fans bought tickets it the ffc end, i feel its these types who could be looking for it, ffc fans dont look for trouble.

Cheers for that Staines. You are quite right on both counts.

I was out to dinner with some friends at the end as as their kids (Teens) ( Who also were out with us.)
Who let me know in no un-certain terms how much they hated QPR.
Where or why this has come from, i've no idea.
I've seen these kids grow up, and always felt like a role model to them.

As you know, i'm a really kind of placid family bloke, I recently went out to dinner with friends who are Fulham fans. A few of their kids were also there and didnt hold back in telling me how much they hated Rangers. I just had to sit there and shrug my shoulders and try to make light of it all.
But they for whatever reason had to unleash this hidden vitriol. ( They'd had a few drinks.)
They just saw me as an oulet to vent their hatred towards QPR, and told me in no un-certain terms that they were bringing a firm down to Rangers to wreck havoc.
Of course, I hope this is some kind of bravado and dosen't amount to anything, we shall see.

Hopefully this won't happen and we will just be discussing an Rs victory tomorrow evening.

In 83 there were running battles between Rangers and Fulham fans along Bloemfontein Road before the game.
The Police were totally un-prepared for this and it continued for some time.
From what I have gathered, they want to replicate this tomorrow.
All the old Fulham faces will be showing up.
They have been waiting for this for ages.

Hopefully they'll have no one to fight.

A Fulham Firm? ... That will be a first .. Will they turn up in Daddies horse box and duff us up ... I have decided its not safe for me to go.

If they are out to cause trouble then smile , then follow them home and slaughter their peacocks and burn their ponies.

I like Fulham for the following reasons

    1. We got Rodney Marsh from them and he propelled the R's from mediocrity to greatness!

    2. When I was at school Johnny Haynes was the best player in the World.

    3. I won loads of money off all my Southampton mates when Fulham Whupped them in the cup about 12 years ago.

They haven't done anything for me lately though.

C'mon guys........as several of you have hinted, Fulham don't have "a firm" and haven't had since 1959/60 season when I started watching them.

Do I have anything serious against Rangers? No.

Do I dislike Mark Hughes? yes
