You may laugh BUT IF we don´t go up, 2nd place is near yet so far away, we will find it hard to keep players like AK, KS & CW for i.e. LCFC 2-0 today... now I´ve ****** it up. Wood & Knockaert. Every time I type 'WOOD' I always put an S on the end, preview the post & have to delete it. "UTF"
Yeah we could lose Knockaert if we dont go up but it will be a hell of a lot more then 2M. Arsenal was linked with a 5M bid and no one thought it was enough
I'm not so sure we will start losing players. Cardiff have held on to a lot of their players over numerous failed campaigns. As long as the spirit is good and we're paying good wages, we should be fine. If we do end up selling anyone, hopefully it will be for top dollar and Nige can bring in some good value/high quality signings.
Knockaert's best bet is to stay here at the moment. He wouldn't get into the Fulham team yet even if true.
... and certainly not Arsenal's - all speculative bollocks and 'lazy journalism' ... also, Barcelona are after Lloyd Dyer as a long term replacement for Messi - they are lining up a swap deal involving David Villa and some Chorizo ... you heard it here first ... I know, because I am the Chorizo's agent ...
Not taking the piss now, seriously I'm not. Do you really think that NP will still be at Leicester if he doesn't get you up this season? Personally, yeah I know you don't care, I don't, Leicester will be back to the revolving door, in fact your owners probably have one eye on Adkins already!
.... probably not what some of our fans want to hear but ..... our owners have already shown how 'patient' they are with Sven - Adkins has a good CV - and they are businessmen first and foremost - I won't be at all surprise if Nigel does not survive the close season if we fail to get promoted - should we not be in the play-offs even (disastrous) then I would call it a certainty ... if we should get to the play-off final and loses 'unluckily' then he might get a further six months ...
Oh I'm not worried at all, just asking the question. He does seem to have been given fairly free rein by the owners though, I don't recall them saying no to his requests once, and knowing how impatient they appear to be I just wonder whether he'll get any more time, I tend to think not, although I'm not bothered either way. If he stays he'll have another go next season, as long as he has a good start, if not he's immediate toast, if he goes he'll go with a wad of cash.
He's been brought in by the owners because of the stability and quality he brings. Since he's been here he'll have cut the wage bill by about half/2 3rds and he's brought in much better quality of players. If he stays he'll only enhance the squad. Our bench has been poor in terms of quality this season, Nugent was a massive miss today. Can you point out where they seem to be 'impatient' please? You've pulled that straight out of your arse. Does an impatient man cover 30m losses and buy a 17m stadium within 2 days?
Fosse seems to agree with regards to them not being the most patient, I'd guess Sven is the example people would use, hardly got long did he. Where were you when he was sacked? I seem to remember it was 6-9th?
Ah that is fairly poor, weren't you only 4/5 points off the play-offs and only 9 off the automatics or something though? I remember people still being shocked as you weren't too far adrift. If you're going to put so much confidence in a man and give him such a lot of money it seems odd not to trust him enough to give him over 6 months (or whatever it was) in the job.
.. Paulo Sousa too ... I'm just being realistic about foreign owners ... the pantomimes at Chelski, Southampton and Blackburn demonstrate that both patience and loyalty are in short supply ... best run clubs in British football to me are Swansea and Wigan .. they have fantastic Chairmen both ... Dave Whelan reiterates each season that even if Wigan go down Roberto Martinez will keep his job .... and it was Huw Jenkins at Swansea who suggested to one of his players, one Roberto Martinez, that he should hang up his boots and manage the club ... then followed that with Sousa, Brendan Rodgers and now Michael Laudrup - each oif whom has taken the club on knowing that they truly had the support of the Chairman and the Board .... now don't misunderstand me I'm grateful for our owners stepping in - we need their considerable finance if we are going to get back to where I want to be and feel we should be given our potential (off the pitch as much as on) ...
