Well the last wk has been the same for everyone im guessing.
while im pleased with the signings were making, i just want them to happen quicker lol

what i really want to see, (like all city fans i guess), is a quality striker.

lets see what the wk brings, but hopefully a bit more activity in the transfer mkt.

buzzing for the season to start, cant wait..... bring it on

    Hope so proud_fox.

but the CMS things sounds a bit dodgy now, and im not entirely convinced we can land mills to be honest.

I, like most people I expect, am just frustrated with the time it seems to take to get a player to sign. Cms being the worst, seeing as he was apparently close to signing on friday. Would be happy with Ssl and mills. Plus routledge would be possibly the signing of the summer.

How many players have been 'dead certainties' to sign and then changed their mind? It seems obvious to me that players and their agents are using us to get them better deals. Premiership Clubs (and West Ham) need to match the offers we've made to get the players they want, and in turn the players want to play for the Premier League Clubs anyway, but want to be offered more and we are the catalyst for that. I bet some of them have never had any intention of joining us.

I have always thought we are over paying massively for Mackail-Smith so if they does fall through then it wont be the end of the world. I would prefer Nugent and Maynard.

I think we could renew our interest in Matt Derbyshire if the CMS deal falls through, i would prefer Derbyshire as he is cheaper and has some premier league experience

According to talksport CMS is defiantly signing for Brighton

What ambitions CMS has. Whats to sign for a big club so he turns down Leicester, West Ham, QPR, Norwich and then signs for Brighton.

I think he is happy being the big fish in the little pond rather then the small fish in the big pond

That's ridiculous. I agree that shows no ambition.

Then again Talksport do spout some bullshit. I'll belive it when I see it.

I won't be bothered anyway, would much prefer Maynard and Nugent.

I've just started a thread about the CMS story. Like Emilio, I'm wary of the source (talksport and Moose) but if he does join Brighton, what does that say about the bloke? Other than Brighton are breaking the bank?

    As for all the other details;

    - St Ledger seems likely to sign today or tomorrow
    - Masilela waiting for a permit
    - Nugent, f**k knows, probably holding out for a PL club
    - Mills, supposedly a fee has been agreed (according to the Mirror)
    - Pilkington seems to be a transfer in progress
    - Maynard deal looks dead (unless CMS joins Brighton?)

We are making another bid for Maynard next week.

Thing is, like everyone else we seem to be linked with I bet he'll hold out for a Prem Club or run out his contract. I'm not getting my hopes up anymore.

Just shows the drama never stops in football, you're worried about Prem clubs coming in for the players you want and then bam, Brighton take one from under your nose. Baffling.

WTF have Brighton got to offer that we haven't? Except a crappy seaside? Dear oh dear. It's going to be at least 3 years before Brighton can compete for a promotion spot, by which time CMS will be 30/31. I just cannot understand his logic behind this move. It's ridiculous.
