Lots of fluff and nonsense today, lets just hope we can get 3 points.

    Rodgers: I love the expectancy

Brendan Rodgers says he is thriving on the expectancy involved with being manager of Liverpool, who enter the second half of the Northern Irishman's maiden season with three fronts to fight on.

The boss has guided the Reds to ninth in the Barclays Premier League after 20 games of the campaign, while his team have reached the knockout stages of the Europa League and begin their FA Cup journey on Sunday.

And Rodgers, who celebrates his 40th birthday later this month, is confident that he can continue to improve the club and ensure his players complete the goals he set at the beginning of the season.

"I love the expectancy and challenge of making this great club great again. I believe as we grow and work more together we will improve," the manager reflected.

    Gerrard: I'm excited about 2013

Steven Gerrard has spoken of his excitement at how Liverpool are progressing heading into 2013.

The 32-year-old has been one of our standout performers since Brendan Rodgers took charge last summer, scoring four goals and claiming six league assists.

    Jordan's 'quarantine' revealed

Mike Marsh has revealed how Jordan Henderson was so unwell prior to Liverpool's clash against QPR that the midfielder was kept in a separate room to his teammates while last-minute tactical orders were conveyed to him through an open door.

Massive respect to Jordan Henderson - he has quietly gone about his business, remaining professional and working hard. It's good to see him performing well but I still get the feeling that Rodgers isn't keen on him and Hendo will be on his way out.

frankly i know the websites job is to drum up stuff to print to get peopel onto the site and buy... but I am SO sick of gerrard's mouth for the past 10 years i've heard the same old rubbihs. each manager who's not put him wide right but do indulge him get the sack and he says the same stuff time and again about the new man, then its always its our year crap.... until of course its middle of the year and he says defeatist stuff like he'll never win the elague with LFC.

I think he should no longer be a automatic pick nor should he play all 90mins every time and i'd go so far as to say its high time the armband got handed to someone younger and more vocal and demanding on the pitch.

I think most people know that I'm not a big Gerrard fan anymore but he has scored a few goals and bagged a few assists in the past few games which would suggest he's found some form.

Problem is, I just can't see how he has managed it??? I feel his overall team play is not good enough anymore but it's hard to argue against his inclusion when he's involved in a few goals. I'm confused!!!

I do agree that we need a new captain. For me, it has to be Suarez as he is the only who really puts in a shift and works hard for 90 mins. This is the example we should be following.

I agree, respect to Henderson, I hope he can improve and get in the team on a regular basis.

There is a lot of fluff from the club site but that's what it's there for I suppose.

Not going into the Gerrard debate though.
