Their passionless display after going 2-0 up today has cost me 200 pounds on the accumulator. Don't know about you guys but thats an amazingly big sum of money to me. I was disgusted with what I saw, and from now on I hope England lose every game they play, I hate the ****ers, lazy, passionless ****s. Had to go out and drown me sorrows, ended up 30 quid down rather than 200 up, bastards, ****ers.

Don't worry mate, you weren't the only one. They hoodwinked me out of some cash as well. I have little vested interest in England now if i'm honest, I only put the acc on tonight to keep me listening. Shame that it just ended in disappointment.

Let's all support Spain that way we won't be disappointed!

    ...

The issue with England is our English stars at club level are all supported by fantastic players, Lampard had Essien allowing him to adopt a free role, Gerrard has played alongside quality such as Alonso and Masherano, Ferdinand has a rock in Vidic and Rooney, just look at who he has behind him!

Replace those names with Barry, Cahill and Downing (decent but not top class) and how can you expect them to play as well? England don't work well as a team but people rate them too highly thanks to the media. I can't stop supporting them, ****e as they may be they represent us all. It'd be the same as giving up on Newcastle in our relegation season.

I'll continue to support England, but I promised myself after the World Cup that I'll never get caught up in the hype before a major tournament ever again.

If you bet on England to win then more fool you <laugh>

Did you stop supporting the Toon when they threw away 3-0 against WBA last season?

I cant understand why Barry gets games he is ****. I saw England play for the first time last year as I got tickets for my birthday and the lack of effort Gerrard and Barry put in was sickening. Wish I hadnt of gone, was a boring 0-0 draw with Montenegro.

To be fair, we've qualified top of our group unbeaten. And missing Rooney for the first two games will probably beneficial as all the pressure won't be mounted on him like it was in SA.

Valid point. As for the O/P it seems you're only let down because you had money on it, more so than the disappointment of your national team letting a 2-goal lead slip. England aren't as bad as people make out, but I just don't find them that interesting anymore. I'll only ever properly tune in when they play at major tournaments. I went to Wembley for the 2-2 with Switzerland in June, I wasn't too fussed about the result- we remained unbeaten and could have easily won 5-2 had it not been for Darren Bent doing the usual and missing sitters- but it was the atmosphere; it's none existent at Wembley when England play. I would have much rather remained going from pub to pub around Wembley being able to drink beer (yep, you couldn't drink in the stadium at all- thanks UEFA!) and sing England songs besides the great escape theme and 'Engerrrrland'.

On another note, it will be interesting to see how the national team fares in 15-20 years time too. We do have some good talent coming through, but only a handful compared to the France, Spain and Germany!

Sameobi and Gosling have a fair chance of getting England caps, should make things more interesting. <ok>

Never bet on England to win! They actually won me a small amount when I put a few quid on a draw at half time!

Jesus, if I hated every team that has cost me money then I wouldn't support any team at all. Real Madrid already this season have cost me £280 and Man U cost me £320...the toon lost me £150, yet I will still support us. Its all about luck when betting, your either lucky or you aren't, simples!

I had this conversation with a taxi driver this morning -

"here, what about you English and sport at the minute, not looking too good eh?"
    My response
"Honestly, unless its in Black n White stripes I couldn't give a ****!"
his response with a grin and a wink
    "You're a Juventus fan then?"

    Touche taxi man, touche!

I've never actually supported England. I follow them in the World Cup and Euros because i'm essentially forced to (damn you media!) but i'd much rather watch Finland, Italy and Ivory Coast play football.
