Calls Jose Enrique, Luis? Can't take articles serious when they can't even get little things like that right! Although fair play to Martins if that is how his exit went, I doubt that though!

Why did you build this up like it was a big deal or that people would argue over it?

I'm glad Martins came out and stated why he left. I think he'd have loved to stay, but the club just couldn't afford him (Maybe he should have taken a pay cut) But he had the chance to play in another top flight division and rightly took it.

I think Martins should ask himself why he couldn't do more to avoid relegation. That season, like most of the team, he didn't do nearly enough for his huge wages, and then once over he actually complained he was struggling with what he was earning!

I don't know, in Pre-season Martins didn't look up to it. He was awful in the infamous 6-2 against the O's. then again a lot of players were

“It was definitely the lowest point of my career and it affected me because when I went to Germany my profile was lower and they knew my team had got relegated."

That says it all for me , selfish ****.

both statements i share and am i being cynical if i say if he loved the club so much why unlike colo, jose, barton to name a few didn't he hang around to get us back up.As for us not affording him i doubt that for the simple fact we cut wages from duff, owen and viduka all on massive wages if we couldn't afford it surely colo, jose, barton would have followed pretty much straight after.
The opening line says it all 'Now on loan at Birmingham City from Russian side Rubin Kazan' could be interpreted as I'm having a crap time in Russia they don't want me I've come to brum, have a few months to prove I can still do it in the prem, ooh yeah and Newcastle want a new striker in the summer so let's come out with some utter bollocks about wishing he could've stayed blah blah blah to butter up the fans.
I really have the utmost respect for the likes of colo jose etc. for staying and would wish them no ill if they left now but those that jumped ship i feel nothing but contempt.

like I said maybe now valentines day is over and the love has gone for another year maybe I'm being cynical.

Needs a slap to the head if he can't work out why we were relegated, like the rest of them had their payday and buggered off when the going got tough.

Seeing that the guy found in nigh on impossible to live on his £75k per week wages and spanked the lot; I'd think he was enjoying himself too much.

Perhaps that's why several of his performances that season were well below par?
