    Good Morning you frisky lot,

McDermott expects Sam Byram to get 90 minutes behind his belt...... during next Mondays development game. Lets hope he is fit to be in the starting line up next Saturday.

Enterprise Insurance are scheduled to become the longest-serving shirt sponsor in the clubs' history having agreed to keep sponsoring us until 2016/17. Their MD Andrew Flowers is a lifelong Whites' fan .

Where is Ryan Hall? He couldn't even get into last weeks u21 development squad!!! Why did we not send him out on loan if we are not going to use him?

We have had many great striking partnerships over the years (and some clueless ones). Which are the most memorable for you?

Probably the most underrated striking partnerships have to be Lee Chapman and Rod Wallace. Thoughts?

Cannot believe West Ham had offered 1.8m for Becchio. (In the papers yesterday)

Morning Elland. I also hope Byram gets a full 90 mins on Monday. If Hall can't even get into the development squad and assuming he's not injured, the club need to come out and explain why we're still paying his wages. Could be no one wants him or he's having paternity time. Either way, things don't look good for him at Leeds. Not sure he's really ever had a good crack of the whip. But time to go if he isn't going to feature anywhere in a position where we are crying out for someone to make an impact.

I have a memory like.... like... like a seive, that's it!! So trying to remember partnerships is a tad difficult. Clarke and Jone, Beckford and Becchio, after that, I'm struggling.

Morning Hall. Not sure why so many still want Hall to be given a chance. After this length of time, clearly another Nunez, waste of wages. Wonder what sort of money did that cost Enterprise and was that the investment Haigh was getting excited about a few weeks back. Hopefully not and there is more to come. Interesting comments from that fa baldy lad about the pl killing the English team or words to that effect. Interesting that the bulk of the 600m transfer window money gen out of the English game. Surely can only be a bad thing for the game

Morning Boggers, who used to partnership with Brian Deane??? Cannot remember? Something not right about Hall. Word is, he is still unfit. This begs the question as you said, why are we paying his wages?

Morning all and I hate these international weekends, especially when the season has only just started.

Ryan Hall has always been a problem player according to Warnock. Didn't he have him early in his career but had to bin him because of his behaviour. Then he had problems at another club and got himself in trouble, but then Warnock goes and buys him from Southend I believe, and says that as long as Ryan gets his head down, he'll be a succes for Leeds. Well enough is enough for me, as nobody has seen him really, so his head must be up his arse. Bit of a difference between Billy Sharp and Ryan Hall, when you think Hall wanted time of for the birth of his baby?

Hope Sam gets through the 90-minutes, but I get the feeling that this injury is a long term affliction and will hamper his career, and his price if we ever sell him. Redfearn talked about it a lot yesterday, being part of Sams life now?

Lots of players had to nurse problem injuries during their careers. Paul McGrath's nobbly knees spring to mind. Hardly ever trained but didnt hamper his match day performances because he was class.
Maybe Byram will need a similar approach. Minimal training and one match per week. As for Hall not being fit, thats easily sorted. Send him for a month to an army bootcamp. Either make or break him. In other words, opposite approach to Byram

If Hall looked even half decent, I'm sure McDermott would've given him a chance. There's obviously something wrong with him, so the sooner we get rid of him the better really, waste of wages. Our lack of width is so alarming though, I'd consider playing Byram on the right when he's back, and maybe even bring Pugh back on the left <yikes>

Are you aware that Messi has injury problems and Physios say that his body isn't set up to be playing football or any physical game of sorts but because he puts in so many extra hours in training and fitness he is able to overcome these issues, training less to deal with an injury just wouldn't happen in the modern day because that just isn't the best way to deal with it. Also Byram is definitely not the finished product therefore needs to continue to improve, if he was training less then his growth would slow massively.

Not that I think Byram will have an issue with injuries for the rest of his career, that'd be a big step from him being out for a couple of months, just saying

    Morning everyone by the way.

Fair enough. How about send Byram to the bootcamp and let Hall continue to do nothing all week.

Eire I was thinking about your boot camp comment and how bad that really sounds. You and I are both professional blokes so make sure we're up to speed in whatever we do. If I was a pro footballer and had not been injured, and had just gone through a few weeks intensive pre-season training. Why the fook wouldn't I be fit 6-weeks into the new season. If fitness is the reason, then he's a disgrace and should be sacked for not being in condition.

    Cheers

We were Hall's big break. Hell of a jump playing in front of a few 1000 at Southend to 30k+ at ER now that Bates has gone. We're even playing proper footy now. He should be champing at the bit to get a game. That he isn't even featuring in the development squad suggests we should pay him off and use the eventual saving to bring someone in who will make a difference, or at least will want to play in front of 30k+ at ER.

As for Byram, only time will tell how his injury affects him. Lets hope the club make all the allowances possible. He is still a class act with a long career ahead of him.

Exactly. If any of us had employees that for the past six months were unfit to do their jobs, we'd hardly hold on to them. In my books, Hall has had more than long enough
