Morning Everybody This weekend see's Sheffield Wednesday make a short trip up the M1 for a lunch time kick off. I expect a win from this game. What are your Predictions/Line-Ups for tomorrow. Don't Forget L.I.D's match day thread is up and running. G.F.C. have sold over 50% of their shares in the club in secrecy. Does this give us any money for transfer or will it go in to infrastructure? With them selling half the club with in a year how long will it be until they sell the rest of the club? Diouf has been in the shop Window. Will you be sad to see him leave? I remember allot of of us didn't want him at the club but we have warmed to him over the last year. Who do you predict will buy him? Boro have told the BBC they are in talks with with Leeds over the Transfer of McCormack. I don't believe this but if he was to be sold how much would you let him leave for? Anything less that 2-3 million is unacceptable in my opinion. The theme of this weeks Friskyness...INTERNATIONAL WAGS Let's see you sexiest women in the football world fellas. Over to you.....
Morning all. Not sure if they sold the shares "in secret", they just didn't tell anyone ! And hardly surprising, they are an investment bank after all and they always said they would welcome further investment. I always saw them as a stepping stone onto something bigger and better for the club and I'm still willing to trust them - for now (I hope that statement doesn't come back and haunt me later). Don't know if any of that money would go towards the club. If you had shares in a company and sold them on, would you give the money you earned back to the company ? Thought not, however hopefully the new shareholders will put some money into their new venture otherwise what's the point ?
Morning all. As an Investment bank, I'm sure they know what they're doing. Putting that money into the ground would increase the value of the club a bit. However, putting the money into bringing in a couple of players that ends up with us being promoted would send the value of the club through the roof. They ain't stupid these Arabs. So likliehood is they'll put money into player purchases. On McCormack, unless 'Boro are offering really silly money, I can't see the club agreeing to sell Ross either to a rival or anyone for the moment. He wants to stay & the Manager wants him as an integral part of the team. Can't add to the friskyness, as I'm not sure how. Either way, first two efforts look good to me.
Selling the 50% has made the bank who owns GFH a cool $723,000 or half a million quid. So a profit for the bank not the club. However the new 50% investor has now got a route to do something if he wants. he sees the club as an investment opportunity so will want to see his investment grow, and that can only happen by either owning ER and TA, or getting us promoted
Morning all. Glad gfh have offloaded half their shares. Dont expect them to reinvest any of that but as they clearly were strapped for cash, at least the new investor hopefully will not be. Personally, I dont wanr Ross or Diouf to go. Cant see that as a help towards strengthening unless ncd has some rabbits well hidden away. Really looking forward to tomorrows game and with the early kick off, I firmly expect us to be top of the table ... for two hours
Justice League of America are holding their annual convention, this time in Malta. Superheroes gathered at the banquet when in stumbles Superman, black eye and cape shredded. "Superman, what happened?" "Well," Superman replies. "I was flying across the Sahara when down in the sand I spot Wonder Woman, shorts down, legs apart, hips slowly gyrating in the sand inviting me in. So I pull out my stiffie, line her up and dive bomb her crotch at speed." "And then?" "That's where the trouble started, I didn't know the Invisible Man was there already!!"
Is it just me that really wants to see the wedies get a full battering yesterday, which should shut that mouthy bastard Jones right up. Maybe he'll think twice out gobbing off next time. Leeds utd 5 - Shef Wed 0
