Morning Peeps, please log in to view this image Have I got your attention??? According to the Daily Mail, Manchester Utd defender Scott Wootton is the latest player being linked with us. The 21 year old defender who has previously been on loan at Forest is not a part of Dave Moyles plans, therefore a nominal fee could be agreed between the two clubs. Does this mean that we are no longer after Matt Mills? BUCKS, WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN UP TO??? Bad Bucks please log in to view this image please log in to view this image Phewww.. please log in to view this image Having won our previous two games, what are we expecting from Sundays game at Leicester. Is anyone expecting us to win, or would a draw be a good result? please log in to view this image How much stronger will we be when Byram is fit again? How would you adjust our back four?
Morning elland and all. Glad to see Wootton is not a part of David Moyles. We don't need spare scum parts surely. Looking forward to Leicester game. Think we'll have a slightly better indication what progress we have made with mcd with it being first away game. On the plus side, it looks like we don't have to worry about losing Sam anymore, misus side, we won't get to play him for most of the season either
Morning all. Nice to see FF back. Quite cheers up my morning. On the game on Sunday, an away draw against a teeam who have spent a shedload and whose fans expect them to at least make the play offs would be a good result. That said, I have this sneaky suspician that we might just nick this one. We're playing propery footy. The side is starting to gel. Yes we know there's a long way to go. But we are moving in the right direction. So 1-0 Leeds for me, and Smith to cause havoc in the 2nd half against Chris Bamba if he's still there.
Morning all!! Missus taking me to Bath for a dirty weekend ... can't wait!! Ok let's see what comments follow If the young Scummer is good enough and can add something, then sign him. He is 21 now which means Scum must either name him in their squad of 25 or he can't play, which is why they will let him go for fcuk all. He may well be good enough for Liverpool for all we know. Interesting one. I really want us to beat Leics, fcuking can't stand them. Bunch of whingers who have spent like crazy, should have won Chumps Lge by now. If we can get three points off them it would be superb, they will hate it and hopefully it messes with their heads. This Championship is tough, and your attitude has to be to go and win every day. Regardless of who you play, switch off and you lose ... just look at what Yeovil did!!
Good call all round Billy. Potentially a very hard league this year. Thank phuk Colin's gone. We really would be in trouble this season playing hoofball. As to wassisface from the scum, I agree entirely. If he's good enough, sign him up. He wouldn't be the first scummer to cros to the right side of the Pennines. This weekend will really show us the type of season we're in for. A narrow win, great. A narrow loss with a good performance by us, disappointing but fair enough. If we got turned over badly 3 to 4-0+, could be a long season. Me, I think we might just sneak this 1-0.
I might be wrong here but I believe the Sheff game is on freeview chanel12and good morning to all Lets have a signing or 2
Morning all If we're looking at this Wooton guy then maybe that does mean that the Mills deal is on the rocks. Judging by the few scraps of information that have come out it seems that McDermott just isn't willing to budge on large wage demands. If thats the case and that is what is holding the deal up, then I'm more than happy with that. Just finishing off the Leicester match thread at the minute, it'll be up shortly.
I'm tracking how we did against the same teams last season, a draw would keep us level on the day (and 3 points up on the 2 games - nicely heading for a playoff place ) I will be very interested to see what BM does with the team selection now Austin is back. I think it will be Kenny, the usual back four (gawd elp us), midfield with Austin at the base plus Murphy and Green/Tonge; then Ross, Varney and Hunt/Poleon. I think BM with start with Hunt over Poleon, but I am not sure if I would- Poleons claims are getting stronger, in any case he'd be good to bring on from the subs bench. On Green v Tonge I have not got a clue, suspect BM might play Tonge if he thinks he gives a bit more width than Green. Also think its good to have Smith on the bench to come on for last 30 minutes, despite the criticisms of him I think his presence can turn a game. Good Morning - and thanks for the frisky bits, even better than PoshMinx's attempt last Friday
Morning Leeds60 hope your well The Shef Wed game is on Sky sports but, I believe sky sports is free that weekend as some kind of taster so yes, you should be able to view for free pal.
Morning/Afternoon all, I'm looking at buying tickets for the Wednesday game for me and my dad. We're wanting East Stand lower. Can anyone tell me how low row ZZ is? (what the online booking system is spouting out). I can't remember. I dont want to be on the floor that's all. Cheers!
Afternoon All What a brilliant thing to see on a Friday. Thank god Frisky Friday's is back Don't care if this kid comes from the Scum as long as he plays well for us. My problem is players going the other way and a certain T**T from Rothwell most of all. Want us to beat the Crisp Munchers and would love us to be top of the league by Xmas.
Afternoon All, Orion, I've got a S/T in the ESL - SS99. Brilliant view for me (half way line). Years ago, I used to be in the old family section out on the south end of the ESL. We were back row at the corner flag & still had a great view. Btw, you can get a 'view from your seat' online. Although it's very general, it gives you a good idea.
Ah, thanks for that. Seen the view now. Its not on the floor and that's all im bothered about. I've actually now booked two in seats in WW (86/87) so only a few rows below you! My dad and I had season tickets in the mid 90s (when I was only young) in the East stand more towards the Kop. Just below the painted 'U' and I seemed to remember the views there were pretty decent. I remember watching us beat the scum 2-1 from there in '94 with Wetherall and Deano scoring, before Cantona pulled one back from the spot. Happy days!
