Morning Peeps, Ryan Hall's deal is expected to go through when the January transfer window opens, after Leeds agreed a permanent deal for the youngster. Warnock told the YEP, that he is one for the future... Warnock has described his back four as naive, and told them that they need to toughen up after conceding four against Forest on boxing day. Hull City tomorrow folks. If Hull win, this win be their first double over us in 25 years. They have invested heavily since we stuffed them 4-1 last season. The Club show a big operating loss for the previous season, or has Ken coked the books. Ihope someone goes through those books very carefully. Alex McLeish has been named new manager of Forest. What a terrible decision.... Its good for us I suppose
Morning all lets hope Hall shows his potential and the confidence Warnock has shown him. Lots mention that Hall isn't the fastest winger, but is tricky and can get good crosses in, which is what's needed. And as for pace Snodds was slow and not as slow as Eddie Gray so I'm not worried and think it a good buy for us. Plus he scores as well and scored 4 in one game for the development team recently. Alex at Forest is another strange one and think they're welcome to him because I can't see them improving anytime soon and would have been better sticking with SOD for the rest of the season. Lets just hope our new owners are not idiots like the chicken fools of Blackburn or the Wolves fool who sacked MM and left poor Terry O'conner to suffer and get relegated. Amazing that these people come in and screw everything up and sack good managers who would have guaranteed them survival in the prem. Tony Fernandez took over QPR after Warnock got them promoted and then quickly sacked him, even though he wasn't given funds in time for the start of the prem. This forced Warnock into buying anyone who wasn't wanted elsewhere, so never got going properly. They sacked Warnock and brought in Hughes who spent a fortune, but Warnock won more games and points than Hughes did, and Warnock would have seen them safe if he were still there. Short termism is the order of the day with some new owners and they can quickly look stupid. The only new owner who seems to have done the right thing was the Swiss who took over Southampton. If you remember they seemed to have dropped a bollock by sacking Pardew who had done well for them and built a good team. They did however bring in Adkins who got them back to back promotions into the prem. I'm hoping David Haigh has influence with GFH and knows what he's doing, because we don't want to be another club dropping bollocks like Leicester did by sacking Sven and then appointing Pearson. Millions spent on players and wages and yet they are still not where they should be after all that investment. I'm expecting a bounce back against Hull, and if we pick up 3-points it will be our best Xmas for a few years. Hull doing really well under Bruce you have to say, who has bought well. Beating them will mean we've beaten many of the clubs who are challenging for promotion.
Morning all. I agree on the short termism thing. I suppose, if results hit a downward spiral, and it's outside a transfer window, the only option seems to be get a new manager in. Also the cheapest option, give the ridiculous contract some players are getting. Qpr a perfect example with Harry publicly saying they're earning four times what they're worth. Think lots of them have no appetite left for the football
Morning all, just wish Hall would get a few more chances, okay saying one for the future but I thought he was 24 already surely he should be peaking now? Accounts - I am not pretending to understand them but I didn't think they looked bad, about normal for a plodding championship team and considering the owner was milking as much as he possible could out they really didn't look bad to me, not that it matters now that GFH are in place. Bates staying in one capacity or another will ensure no dirt is released on him, time to move on.
