Good Morning Peeps, Its that time of the week again........ And damn it, can't get my works computer to send a babe of the week image After two below par performances, I am really hoping that we pull out all the stops on this one. Regardless of Birminghams league position, they are only a few wins below us . You may recall the 5-1 home defeat to Birmingham was the icing on the cake that saw Grayson depart. Birmingham boast a number of good players, Butland, England Under 21 keeper, Hayden Mullins in midfield and Leroy Lita and Marlon King upfront with the later fresh from his three goals in midweek. The game ended 3-3 with City coming back from 3-0 against relegatation fodder Millwall.
Morning again Elland. A eriously difficult game for us, especially after the performance on Tuesday, both theirs & ours. We need to keep the ball on the floor, pass it around, & have more attacking options. I'd start with Hall on one wing & have White at LB with instructions to get up & down the line as much as possible. I might also be tempted to rest Lees & put Kisnorbo in there with instructions to get his boot, toe, or anything else in the way. Varney should sit in the stand & Green should play somewhere. I think it'll be a hard game with a 2-2 scoreline.
Morning guys. We really do need to turn our performances around, starting to get quite worried how poor we are at the moment The team I'd play would probably be: -------------------------Kenny-------------------------- Peltier---------Lees----------Pearce---------Drury Byram-------Norris---------Austin-----------Tonge -----------------EHD--------Gray--------------------- I was tempted to play Green instead of Tonge but I dunno how green would be on the left. I have decided that I prefer Byram further up the field, also watching the extended highlights against Charlton he looked like the only player that even considered attacking with any sort of control and composure. I think the team I have just put forward really shows how lacking we are up front but then at the same time there is absolutely 0% of me that wants to see Becchio start this game (saying that he'll get bloody hattrick ). I really like the idea of bringing Jerome in on loan. Don't even know whether Peltier and Austin will be fit yet either. Brown is the obvious replacement for Austin and if Peltier isn't available, drop Byram back to RB and play Green infront of him
Interesting team selection Josh. If Warnock told Becchio he was being rested in part to save him for Tuesday against Southampton, it might help to make such a decision easier. Think I'd prefer to see Hall start in favour of Byram. Byram's still a kid & needs handling with care if we're not to burn him out too quickly.
Should be Strach. Think he was just knackered after flying back from Jamaica. As you say, let's hope so. Any news on any more incomings?
I'm pretty much in line with your thinking for once, Josh. Love Becchio, but honestly think he's due a rest. Same with Austin. Save them both for Tuesday. The one thing I'd perhaps reconsider is the right wing spot. A certain Mr Robinson will almost certainly be playing left back. He with the speed of a mobility scooter. I don't think I'd like to risk Byram against him, so might be an ideal time to give him a rest too. White could do a job on the right & run the legs off Robinson. I could cope with it if it was White that Robinson crocked, but not Byram. I'm not sure I'd play Hall against Robinson, Boggers. Not the best debut you could hope for. Could have a serious injury, or a howler of a performance to knock his confidence. Might be the ideal time to give him the last 20 mins when Robinson is knackered, though.
Morning all Going up for the game tomorrow, costing me over £150 for 2 tickets, fuel etc so we'd better bloody win.
Morning all I would like to see some more positive movements from the lads, teams tend to cut right through us as we look static off the ball. Play Byram and White, let them both have a run at Robinson at some point, then bring on Hall when there tiring. Norris and Austin to start for me.
Elland Notice how I gradually working my way through the championship footballers on Twitter had abuse off loads of em Gabs Zakuani yesterday the prick
