Morning Everyone, Millwall manager Kenny Jackett does not believe that the Lions’ recent poor form has been caused by their excellent cup run over teams like non league Luton Town The south Londoners have lost five league games on the spin, although they have won their last two FA Cup games but are a win over Blackburn from Wembley. Most recentlly the Lions were humiliated 5-1 at the New Den by lowly Peterborough Leeds entertain the Lions at Elland Road a week on Saturday for a lunchtime kick off... Could it be time to say, KENNY, GET YER JACKETT...... Was it just a coincidence that the seven figure cash injection came about at the same time of Parkin / Pearsons failed takeover attempt? Leeds travel down to Ewood Park tomorrow for a mid table clash of the (fallen) titans. Blackburn are just a point, and two places below us, with both teams playing 32 games. Do we keep the same team that beat Blackpool, I bloody well hope so... Would you change the squad? With 3 points tomorrow, and another 3 points, courtosy of the pussy cats, who knows?
Morning Elland. Think the same side that started on Wednesday will start tomorrow, injuries aside. Should be a good game. Think we'll scrape home 2-1. Jacket's position is safe. But the 'Wall may re-visit that one come the end of the season.
Morning all Just about recovered from the Brighton match. It was a cracker! Briefly caught up with the gorgeous pags, Wakey & RCDM. The south stand was buzzing & the Brighton fans were in good voice considering the was only a couple of hundred
Morning all. Wont even try to predict tomorrows result. No point anymore as no idea which Leeds side will turnout, Wednesdays one or the crap one. As for the 1m cash injection, lots more needed to keep club afloat till end of next two seasons seemingly. Could have got excited about it if it had been used to sign Bourke but of course plugging Bates's many holes has to be first priority. Would take a colossal run to make playoffs, but an away win Saturday and who knows what it might start
Deffo Leeds vs Blackpool mate so none of the above, although the rest of the night was a bit of a blur!
Morning all - Wouldn't change the starting 11 for our next game although I am not holding high expectations, we certainly have a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde team at the moment
A bit of friskiness as YNBK/YWBK/Yabbadabado isn't on here at the moment. Is tonight's little rugby match a good curtainraiser to the main event on Saturday afternoon at Twickers, or does no one outside of Melbourne, a bit of Yorkshire, & possibly a bit of Lancashire actually care about the Storm/Rhinos match other than to see which back could be pursuaded to cross codes & play the real game???
Intersting article http://www.gulf-daily-news.com/NewsDetails.aspx?storyid=347947 During the fourth quarter of 2012, GFH posted a net profit before provision of $12.9m with net profit after provision of $2.5m as compared to a net loss of $4m for the corresponding previous period. This is due to income generated from the Leeds United football club investment and others. Seems that they are posting all the Leeds generated income straight to their bottom line (profit) and the day to day running costs are being treated as cash injections in the form of loans
Very confusing messages coming from your new owners Norway. They are telling their shareholders that they are already collecting a very significant amount of income from Leeds United, but they are telling the Leeds fans that they are supporting the club with further investment. Are they putting money in or taking it out FFS - If they are doing both, they need to shake it all about and do the okey cokey
Am gonna give myself a little break from trying to figure out the finances. None of us are accountants. The scum are hundreds of millions in debt and doesnt seem to matter. Cardiff 100 million in debt, no body cares. Liverpool lost a mere 50 million in their last six months. Nobody seems to care. From now on, I'm only interested in what is spent on the squad and if they can improve us. Lifes too short to be worrying about ****e over which we have no control
Ha! no mate. back to kings cross, underground to Waterloo then luckily I got a direct train back to the sticks!
I have been saying all along GFH are an investment bank, people put their money into them to make them more money, anyone who believes GFH will put more into Leeds than they will take out wants a bang on the head. The amount of wages we cut back on during January and the sale of Becchio should have put a few pennies in the pot. Okay rumours it was a swap plus we receive £300k but you can't tell me Warnock, Hall and Tonge cost more than that.
