Cole seems to have lost interest these past few years. Was a time when he was one of the most naturally gifted of English footballers but, after leaving Chelsea for Liverpool, seems to have faded away somewhat.

Frimpong is a bit of a mong with this whole 'dench' and 'you've been Frimponged' thing. Being Frimponged seemingly means Frimpong attempting to hurt you and injuring himself from what I gather. Still, he's a decent prospect and well worth a place in our squad. A midfield three of him, Diakite and Faurlin would be extremely solid. I'd take Cole too but not sure how he'd fit into the way Hughes plays. Taarabt earnt himself a place through showing a never before seen willingness to put in a shift which I don't know if Cole would be capable of.

Nobody has got anything out of Cole over the last few Years, for me a good player in his time but not now. I would prefer us looking for younger anyway, and I imagine MH will fell the same as he is trying to build a team not get in a bunch of journey men for a season.
