Anyone know of any pubs in central London or Clapham showing the game? Failing that, may be tempted to take a days holiday and head off up north. UTT!
The Hull City Southern Supporters will be watching the match in the Spread Eagle pub, just off Oxford Street http://www.beerintheevening.com/pubs/s/14/14738/Spread_Eagle/Marylebone You (or any other interested City fans) are very welcome to come and join us. We'll be in the upstairs room
whats the deal in this pub, I will be popping along as it's my first match now I live down south, big screen? Volume on surely? straight after work for a total piss up anyone?
I used to live at Clapham South, near Balham Hill, there used to be quite a big club in Streatham, is it still there? It was proper Gangsta!
It's just the one we've used for years. We despirately tried to find a pub in Central London, so was accessible to as many people as possible, sells decent beer, can provide us with our own area where we can be one big group of City fans and will make up a load of sandwiches etc when we give them some money. Terry Neill used to own a pub near Holborn which did the job well for many years. But when it closed down, we needed to find an alternative. So we tried a few places over the year that tried to fit the above criteria, the Spread Eagle was the one we settled on. You'll get a few straight from work (one works in Debenhams nearby, another uses this as his lunchtime drinking venue - hence why it was originally found), but a lot more turn up as kick-off approaches
