Now lads.. Bought one of those cracking micro speakers for the iphone the other day, anyway this one is supposed to be the business, as big as an egg cup but sticks 5watts out which I suppose is good when you remember the old white Fidelity stereos. Anyway, got mine set up and played a song for Lollie, one that's racked in my head for years but she had never heard before. Within minutes the lass was in tears, it was the simple but brilliant 'How can I tell You' by Cat Stevens.. I know these threads will probably bore a lot of you to tears so post yourselves? We got the lass lifted in a sling today, 3 inches up off the bed for the 1st time in 6 months today. I'm happy, I'm celebrating, I'm alive and I am here for them both.. Have a great weekend lads..
Great news regarding your lass VJ, maybe only small improvements but as long as its in the right direction that's all anybody can wish for. You celebrate mate and no you don't bore or bother anybody on here when its making people happy. I do have an issue with your post however, wtf is your problem with white Fidelity stereos mate? They were the Rolls Royce of Hi Fi in their day, I could only afford a little Elizabethan with the Pink LED power light on the front.
Cheers GT, the white fidelity's were quaint and cute at the time but I used to hang around with a very good guitarist at the time who converted a radiogram into twin stereo.. The sound was brilliant for dazed and confused and the groundhogs then the buggar blew a fuse..
Loved Cherry Red, enjoyed split part 1 & 2. Saw Tony McPhee in York last year, looked old but as soon as he played we were all 18 again and the memories flooded back..
I saw ground hogs in Durham city at dun elm house 1969 or 1970 something like that my fav of all time but I'm Sad to sat I never listen now may be I will u tube now
Tell you what buzzed me the other night and you might laugh but I hadn't heard it for years and to me this band were very good in 72. The Piledriver album, Status Quo, Roadhouse Blues and Big Fat Mama..
hi joe you dont know me but ive been reading your posts for years now and they are always interesting also i like your family updates im so pleased that your other half is improving in health even if its painfully slow, please keep posting and i hope its all good news from now on.
