What do you think MM's future will be after a few months improved results (albeit at Championship level) ?

I suspect that the old problems of ME's underfunding and SC's transfer bunglings will force MM to seek employment at a more ambitious club like Charlton, Watford or Blackpool.

Your well reasoned and balanced arguments are more than welcome.

I think we'll be fine and hopefully ME will learn not to go from one extreme to another i.e throwing cash at it then starving us of cash when we need players. Under ME we he always seems to throw money at the club when we least need it and when we need it he tightens his belt.

I liked that the club played hardball over the summer and refused to pay over the odds but unfortunately this was at our detriment because we had a very thin squad which needed strengthening, a more progressive move to this stance was needed!! I really think this was the stance he should of had when he first took over the club 5 years ago not this summer when we had a weak squad. I think he realised his mistake and brought in the loans, judging by some of the players we've brought in I can't imagine we are sticking to the FFP rules quite so ridgedly!!!

I'd like to see MM backed but not too the extent that Keane and Jim were backed, we need to be sensible and I'd like to see what Mick can do with a few of the players we already have at the club!!

I can't see MM leaving us for another club as a) I think by his previous managerial record he tends to stick with a club for a long period of time b) I'd be surprised if a PL club wanted to appoint him their manager. There is a niggling doubt about the Republic of Ireland in my mind however!!
