A much better football writer than what most national papers employ.
IMO, hope I'm not being biased!

    Warnock's Transfer Woe

NEIL Warnock explains his disappointment in not being able to land some of his top summer transfer targets

Several players have been targeted, as previously documented by Vital QPR, but Warnock has yet to make his first signing.

'It's difficult for me at the minute,' Warnock told talkSPORT

'I've tried to bring a few in but unfortunately some have gone elsewhere and I've missed out on some.'

Warnock revealed however that he is still in the market for several players and hopes to have signatures tied up soon.

'I've just got to keep going in. I want to bring in players who are going to improve the squad.

'I've spoke to a couple this week and I'm hoping the board will clarify that we can sign them. I've just got to wait and see if everything is given the go ahead. I'd like to sign a couple as quick as possible.'

The level of funding open to the R's boss remains open to debate with Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore at the forefront of the club's transfer dealings.

The role of Gianni di Marzio seems to also have become more prevalent in dealings abroad, with his name attributed to several quotes regarding potential transfers.
