I wanted to get one up early as I am very keen on a horse that I feel could be thrown in on his handicap mark.

    Lingfield
    5.20 Motion Lass 6-1

This horse has very little mileage on the clock compared to most in this race and although he has never troubled the judge he has run in races that have produced horses now running off of marks well into the 70's and 80's, tomorrow Motion Lass runs off 64. There are reasons for caution such as a hood being tried first time and a wide draw but sometimes it's worth a chance on such things and I think this horse will win well tomorrow.

His jockey is my favourite Jim Crowley who incidentally gets put up on a Michael Stoute horse tomorrow for what as far as I am aware is the first time (could be wrong). He has also ridden for Godolphin lately and deserves these chances as he rides well, makes few mistakes and seems a good man.

    Good luck all.

3-30 Musselburgh King Torus 14/1. Moved from the Osborne stable to Ruth Carr having won a fair race at Lingfield last time out. If it can translate that form back on turf then ahs a decent chance of each way money at least.

    Good luck all.

Morning, crew. Nothing for me today but, am greatly looking forward to TELSECOPE tomorrow at Haydock Park (2.55). Have firmly believed for a long, long while that he’s destined for the ‘top table’ and in just over 24 hours he should take his next step towards it.

Ernest Hemmingway did it nicely last eve and the options re him now look extensive for Ballydoyle. It’s the ‘Irish St Leger’ next but beyond that they have the options of stepping back to middle distances or even campaigning the old boy as their Cup horse in 2014. Other Coolmore news I see is that Battle of Marengo has been sold to the Middle-East. Nevis recently and now ‘Battle’. The ‘lads’ can’t think much of this current ‘Classic crop’, methinks.

    Good luck, people.

2.30 Muss - Micks Yer Man. Willing to have a large bet for me on this one remaining unbeaten this afternoon. Think Stick put this up up first time out and won well on debut as he did again last time out. Only concerns are the ground and an absence of 132 days to overcome. Still I think it will will later on.

3.00 Musselburgh O Ma Lad 8/1 looks a very big price. Granted, its a very tough looking race but he's been very progressive and a 4lb rise for his win LTO seems lenient. Would be very surprised if he's not in the mix.

Horse was withdrawn at the start after taking a slight kick. To be honest it looked fine but obviously the jockey knows best in these cases. It has to be said the horse looked superb at the start and I was bitterly disappointed as I really think it would have won. I had it in a decent single, doubles and a yankee. I really feel this horse should be backed when she next runs.

Good call on Eton Rambler Badger.
