Seems to me there is a global problem around the caliber of persons wanting to get into politics. We have a couple of shining lights here in Germany but typically, most places you look you have to think “jeez is that the best they can do?” Trump v Biden, Johnson v Corbyn, Macron v Le Pen just a few recent examples. Mind you, at least there is a choice unlike the “Putin or Gulag” choice in Russia <doh>
Agree Oddy. The problem the Tories have though is that any successor will have almost certainly aided and abetted the narcissist Johnson. They all knew he was a waste of space with zero integrity but turned a blind eye. Imo we need a new voting system but I doubt it will happen.

3.00 Newmarket Soapy Stevens.

I had to put this one up because of the name - Soapy Stevens was a character played by Wilfred Hyde-White in the wonderful Peter Sellers film “Two Way Stretch”. Star of the show for me though was Lionel Jeffries as the hard-nosed warder Crout (a delicious word play on Kraut).

Bravo, Oddy, well done! <applause>

Norrie is a citizen of the planet Earth. Father a Scot (now a New Zealand citizen, no doubt), mother Welsh, the rest no need to be repeated. . Scotland can hardly claim him to be one of theirs, surely?

Ok, going to make it 2 posts in 2 days, a first for me… another from the Jane Chapple-Hyam yard that is I’m told in great form at home and a big run is expected…
Nizaaka @ 4.10 Newmarket (currently 5/2)
Whilst I’m here and unlikely to get on the forum tomorrow the lad also mentioned one running tomorrow to keep an eye on…
Intellogent @ 4.05 York (currently 8/1)
As always play at your own risk.

Again. :emoticon-0148-yes:

Simply Magnificent

Some outstanding info/selections the last couple of days. My selection today was New London, backed last night at 9/4. I may be brave and put my selections up tomorrow.

Oh dear, Inspiral doesn't act on firm ground.
Great ride by Hornby.
Lookinng forward to seeing Frankie issue a carefully worded statement to the effect that he may need to review any special relationship with a trainer who is apparently willing to risk his best horses on unsuitable gtound.
