Taking the missus for a day out at Ludlow tomorrow. My local track (excluding Dunstall Park) but never been so about time! Ok so racing isnt premier but only heard good things about it particularly the catering! With that in mind have booked a seat in the carvery but already had a winner as they emailed yesterday upgrading us to the posh restaurant - 3 courses and waited on. All for half the price of Club entry on Gold Cup day. Looking forward to it but feel free to post up any Ludlow selections. Cheers.

Go across the course for a chase and stand by the water jump.

then stand on the roof of the stand for another.

Late posting, as usual, just didn't get going this morning (nothing unusual) so here's a late 'go':

The (15:20) at Ludlow, is a Class-4 Maiden Hurdle over an extended 2m5f on soft (heavy-in-places) ground. 16-runners go to post, but it should concern mainly the top three in the betting, but you never know with horse racing! Without further ado, will go for the No.1 in the field, Awaythelad. The Getaway gelding is well-bred for NH racing (Damsire: Oscar), and hopefully will give a decent account in this event. Tongue-strap applied, along with first-time cheek-pieces. Experienced NH jockey, Kielan Woods, on board for the Ben Pauling yard.

4/1 (Bet365) is the best price at time of writing.

(Hope Chan and his missus enjoyed the posh lunch and have backed a winner or two!)

Well, that's a lot better. Guess I posted too late for Chan to have a look at Awaythelad before the race. However, do hope he backed it.

Ah Swanny I missed it but well done on your pick. I sided with the luverly Rebecca Curtis horse in that race which came 2nd. Unfortunately didn’t bump into the delightful lady herself but we had a fabulous day. A decent racing crowd but plenty of space to get around everywhere, lovely grub in the restaurant, friendly staff and picked a few winners. However would have had a great return if Emitom had prevailed over Kestrel Valley. The missus was on the latter (backs young Twister after he won on Hello Bud for her years ago) which made her day especially as she nearly brought down the jockey on his way to the parade ring! Gallant Sam was very apologetic even though it was her fault <doh>.

One for the notebook in the bumper. Henry Daly’s Roaring Home. Didn’t roar home exactly but was doing all her best work at the end of the race having struggled early on :emoticon-0148-yes:.
