17:05 Ascot - Pearl Eye e/w A Class-3 Handicap run on the straight course over 1m. on soft ground. Expert Eye gelding has a fair chance to gain a podium finish, at least. Unlucky at Chester (7.6f soft) 20-days ago, in a race he should have won but for traffic problems about a furlong out. Wears blinkers as in previou runs. Jason Watson on board for the Darryll Holland stable. 10/1 best price early-doors, in many places on the ATR site.
Carnage in the opener at Gowran Park as 4/9 fav Mr Percy jinked badly approaching the first hurdle and shot Daryl Jacob out of the saddle.
Quevega's daughter Camaletta Vega (by Camelot) puts her unbeaten record (1 from 1) on the line in the concluding mares bumper at Gowran Park. She has been surprisingly easy to back throughout the morning though (from 2/1 out to 3/1) as the money has come for Mozzies Sister (5/2 yesterday, now 5/4). Should be an intersting race.
Stream Of Stars making up for lost time with his second victory inside a month after nearly 3 years off the track. This gelded son of Sea The Stars was formerly with John Gosden and made an absolute mockery of his mark of 120 there. No doubt the handicapper will react accordingly but you sense his winning run could continue a while yet. Watch his leap at the second last hurdle - superb.
