Good Luck <ok>

The 1.30 Newmarket looks a cracking novice race, be amazed if not a bucket load of future winners in the field

yes got a temperature

Only 3-1 at time of withdrawal, so looks a colt to put in your Tracker

Hello, everyone. I see that another very, very small field novice chase heat means that Pentland Hills will make his debut over the big 'uns in a match (1.08 Huntingdon, Sunday).

The listed Wensleydale (ooooh I love a bit of Wensleydale) Juvenile Hurdle looks a nice little race with all 4 protagonists looking capable of winning. Favourite is Alan King's Tuddenham Green at around 11/10 and, much as I respect his connections in this sphere, I thought his debut victory was a little laboured and at those odds I'm happy to pass him over. The top one Medyaf showed a really nice attitude to win on debut for the Skeltons (having left the Gosden yard over the summer) and there should be plenty more to come from him. Donald McCain put cheekpieces on Vintage Valley last time out over C&D and he absolutely bolted up. They are swapped for first time blinkers today. Sue West's Mr Freedom sluiced up under a double penalty last time out to complete his hat-trick but those he beat look a pretty dodgy lot and so the form looks questionable.

At the prices I think Medyaf looks decent enough value and I think he could take a big step forward and win this.

A very quick look at the Uttoxeter card and here are 4 for me to watch while counting down to leaving work today...

1:20 - Jane Du Berlais. 15/2
1:55 - Awaythelad, 9/1
2:30 - Ballybough Mary, 12/1
4:15 - Martha Des Mottes, 8/1

No bet, just picked em out for a bit of fun...<ok> <cheers>

Did that very nicely I thought - a little bit green still but well on top at the end <cheers>

No stewards review of the incident that caused the horse to run out? Looked the fault of the Skelton horse

Jockey might get a talking-to. Hard to tell whether his horse drifting really caused Mr Freedom to run out - he seemed to be more spooked by the wing of the hurdle? Need to watch again. I don't think there was an enquiry though.

Update re the novice chase at Huntingdon (1.08) on Sunday. RP are reporting that it may end up being a walkover. Aucunrisque far from a certain runner because of the ground.

Dead right.

King has got to teach Tuddenham Green to jump.
