My best bet of the Xmas period tomorrow -3.00 Leopardstown ROAD TO RESPECT - 9/4 I took 3/1 earlier this week and can only see him getting shorter whilst all the trainers are moaning about the lack of rain. This horse loves good ground - and on a good ground gold cup he will be some force. His 4th on ground he hates in this years gold cup says everything you need to know about how good he is. The main market rival this week was taken out at the last point (presenting Percy) because of the ground. Next in the betting is Bellshill who can’t go left handed at all. Monalee IMO doesn’t stay a truly run 3m, Shattered love could turn up as I do fancy her this season to win some good races ad will love the step up to 3m. The only one who could up set the party is Disko but his absence has to be a worry and will probably just need this for later targets in the season. However this guy will NOT BE BEATEN!

I'll be there myself tomo Wooly and have backed him already.Anyone give Faugheen going up to 3m any chance against the mare, 3/1 looks tempting!

    2.55 Lingfield - Daring Guest

A horse who ran a stormer for new connections last time out, over a trip further than his optimum and now he drops into a 0-55 and drops down to the 7 furlongs. If he settles properly he could win this by three lengths, but if he runs like he did last time with a little bit of the choke out, he should still be good enough to win this race. Followers of this horse could be in Clover by 3pm!

    15:05 Royal Sunday EW

This horse is interesting, I think they have been running him fit, and he showed more last time to suggest that he was about to come to hand. He is dangerously handicapped on his Hereford juvenile debut. He now goes into a weak race in which he might get an easy lead, and that could help him show more again here. He is very lightly raced and could be very well handicapped. He is an each way price in a very weak race.

    Finally, 13:00 Dallas Cowboy

This is a horse who finishes weakly at times, so certainly isn't one to go mad with, but he could easily get loose on the lead here and he has the form in the book to suggest that he could win a race of this nature.

Well they couldn't have picked a tougher race in which to come back after 11 months off and kissing spine operation.. Good luck to Cracking Smart. If he can put in a respectable run, looking as though he needed the race, it will be all systems go for Cheltenham. Fully expect Annie to win though

Whatever goes on with the track at Leicester? Chase course good to firm, firm in places, hurdles course good, good to soft in places and the home straight is soft. Is the Clerk of the Course on one of these modern apprenticeships? I suppose all horses are suited by a part of the course.

always like that chan , it's the drainage , the chase course drains onto the hurdle course , the chase course never gets heavy , sometimes they run an all chase card due to this extreme difference .... obviously some chalk subbase i suspect .....

I suppose I'll kick myself if Cracking Smart gets placed so Cracking Smart ew (Annie, or rather Apple's Jade, too short given the opposition)

Each way with only 7 runners? Very risky proposition with Apples Jade and Faugheen in there AND he’s been off nearly a year.

I know Oddy. As I said earlier in the thread, they couldn't have picked a harder race for him. But I've been waiting for this horse so can't not have a nibble. Either he's been showing enough at home to throw him in against this lot or they want to see how he travels in this class before getting him ready for Cheltenham. I suspect the latter

Lexus looks a cracker - Finding it hard to split Monalee & Shattered Love, have gone for the mare but will have a rfc saver on it.
