Racing question to the forum, on this dank and drizzly day.

Given the poor field at Perth yesterday for the novice chase, how would you propose to solve the issue of races that are thoroughly uncompetitive in that sphere?
Perth was heavy ground yesterday. The course is very close to the river so when described as heavy its like a quagmire

well done , mine was nowhere <doh>

Yours actually fell at the last when still holding a chance.
I dont know if you saw recently on the DT when I was chatting to Nass but DJ was Assistant to Charlie L when The Don and I had horses there. He is a really good bloke and knows his horses. Really hoping he makes a success at the training game.
